Keep up the good work!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not sure I like this *2021-08-28, version 1.1* This app is really hard to use, or maybe it’s me No way to see the map and read the instructions I’ve used better ### 1/5 — No signal *2020-08-03, version 1.0* Not a great start using this app, arrived in Burley early in the morning to start the walk to find there is no signal. I’m guessing this will happen a lot in the New Forest. ### 1/5 — Lacking functions *2020-03-22, version 1.0* I used this app for a 1.5 walk. Firstly it’s great for basic functions but has some annoying quirks. The gps pointer is good but stupidly when you lock your phone it resets the app so when you re-enter it you’re back to the main page and have to then go into maps, search your position. Chose the route you are on and zoom back in. Absolutely ridiculous. If the route we did was say 5miles It would be impossible to keep using the app. Forget a 27 miler! Add a favourites button or stop the app resetting when you lock your phone. No one wants to leave their phone open and unlocked for 3-5hours! Also you can’t filter the suggested routes down by distance or location. It’s just a free for all on suggestions. Improve these and it would be a decent app. ### 2/5 — GPS Didn’t Work! *2023-02-25, version 1.5* I finally got round to using the app having had it on my phone for a while. It’s well laid out and makes it easy to choose a walk and find it’s start point. However, the GPS never kicked in to enable me to follow the route! I ended up using my OS app to follow the route that was highlighted which was less than ideal. If the GPS issue can be resolved then this will be a superb app! ### 3/5 — Good info but needs live location *2024-08-30, version 1.9* There’s loads of good info in this app, but it really suffered from not showing me where I was on the map. I don’t know the area well so finding where I was in relation to walks was hard. A spot showing my location would make it much better. ### 3/5 — Good start but needs development *2024-04-27, version 1.7* I use on an iphone and it uses apple for directions which are no where near as good as google maps so it would be nice to have the option to change. While it lists a lot of walks, its no where near complete. It lists one for bolderwood but when there there are three other walks. It would be nice to open the app and see the walks in a map relevant to where i am. ### 3/5 — It’s alright, could be improved *2021-09-25, version 1.1* Used this app on our trip to the new forest. Helped us choose a walk. Would’ve been better if there was pictures of the walk and you could do directions in app or via google maps not only on Apple maps. You also can’t zoom in far enough to see what direction to go in sometimes so we got lost twice. ### 3/5 — Some good walks *2021-05-26, version 1.1* There are a lot of positives to this app - good for finding walks and ensuring you don’t get lost! We definitely wandered further than we otherwise would have. HOWEVER some of the village walks took place on busy roads which had no footpath - this was not fun with a dog and can’t imagine a family would feel safe with younger children. It needs better specifications about where you will be walking and who it would be suitable for. With a bit more development and more walks added it will be an indispensable app. ### 4/5 — Please add footpaths *2021-03-29, version 1.1* I would love the ability to see all footpaths. There is no option to submit walks to be added to the list eg Wilverley Inclosure which can be accessed by those who need a better maintained path to walk on or push a pram/buggy.
