## What is New Humanist?

At a time of rising religious extremism and irrational nonsense New Humanist magazine provides the antidote: witty, incisive and original comment and argument from a sceptical perspective. Relaunched as a quarterly journal of ideas, science and culture in 2013, New Humanist is elegant, independent-minded and provocative. Drawing on a freethinking tradition stretching back more than 120 years but dedicated to the best contemporary writing, New Humanist is a lively and compelling guide to contemporary thought and culture, and an essential voice of reason. Contributors include Suzanne Moore, Philip Pullman, Will Self, Natalie Haynes, Jonathan Rée, Claire Tomalin, Stewart Lee, Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais, Stephanie Merritt, Martin Rowson, Brenda Maddox, Robin Ince, AL Kennedy, Stuart Hall, Francis Wheen, Laurie Taylor and Christopher Hitchens.

The iPad/iPhone edition brings you selected pages from the latest issue as soon as it is published. You can subscribe within the application for full access, which brings you every page of the issue and a searchable archive back to 1884. Issues are not sold individually - for the duration of your subscription you have access to every issue in this archive.

During your subscription you can sync back issues to your device. These will remain in place if your subscription expires, unless your device removes them (for example when running low on disk space). Re-downloading issues requires a current subscription.

     I have an iPhone, an iPad mini, and an iPad Air.  Unfortunately I can’t figure out how to get readable print  - or sync my devices.

When the description of this app says you get “selected pages from the latest issue” with the free version, it means the cover and contents/contributors pages. 
That’s it. 
Terrible business model. I’m obviously not going to subscribe if I can’t sample even the tiniest morsel of content. Whereas give me an article or two to get me hooked and then I’m much more likely to subscribe to get full access.

The worst app ever. So frustrated with and it blurs every time I zoom in. It's not responsive with modern day technology. It's at least 5 years behind compare to other app.

I cannot recommend this app, or indeed any digital subscription to New Humanist Magazine.  I had big problems getting access to the first edition of my digital subscription as a result of inconsistent wording in the instructions provided. Now, although New Humanist has annouced that the next edition has been published, it has not appeared in the app or on the web ste of the digital publisher, exacteditions.  This is a shame because the content of the magazine is great

The design of this app doesn't even remotely consider a mobile platform. It's like trying to read a PDF document. Also, I should only have to sync an issue once, not every time I open the app.

If I zoom in to read the print, when I zoom back out it freezes and I lose all my navigation buttons. I only subscribed this morning but will ask for refund if this keeps happening. Help please! 5 stars for magazine but only 1 for this experience, sorry :((
