Procedures logged same day are recorded as the day prior. ### 2/5 — Not very helpful *2025-10-31, version 1.7.886* Honestly, the only reason I downloaded the app was to log hours. Unfortunately, that is a whole over complicated process. The web version has a “clock in” button which seems like something that should be on the app to make tracking hours easier. I end up just logging into the website on safari and logging my hours that way. General suggestion is just to add a clock in and out function to make logging hours less tedious. ### 2/5 — “Select Activity” not working *2025-09-02, version 1.7.884* When attempting to log work hours on the current version, the “Select Activity” option does not populate any of the presets like “shift” or “call.” It also doesn’t accept any possible free text option. Then you can’t submit work hours without a work activity selected. The current version is unusable for logging work hours from a mobile device ### 2/5 — At least optimize for mobile *2025-02-17, version 1.7.783* I am on faculty in a family medicine program. The app has some desirable features for residents but isn’t great for faculty. It’s hard to create evals for residents, and they aren’t mobile-optimized so it is VERY cumbersome to complete ad hoc evals. The direct observation feature has to be initiated by residents which makes it challenging to use for the intended purpose. In the era of competency-based assessment, we need quick, easy ways to give brief feedback based on observable behaviors, and this app does not facilitate that. ### 2/5 — Poor logging function *2024-12-09, version 1.7.783* When logging a procedure and adding in the comment, the keyboard covers the text box I’m in so I can’t even see what I’m typing. It needs: 1) Default time. Having to turn that time wheel every single day is ludicrous. It should show by default the last time entered, e.g. 9am-5pm. Same for type of rotation. 2) Block entry. Currently, you can’t enter several days at once, you have to do it one by one. 3) There’s no calendar view, but this is less urgent ### 1/5 — “Invalid institution” *2022-08-19, version 1.6.661* Can’t even log in. I’ve been trying for six weeks to even use the app. Everything is typed correctly. Guess I’ll be using the internet instead! ### 1/5 — Needs work *2022-07-11, version 1.6.661* Switched from MedHub to new innovations by HCA mandate. The NI app needs more detail and simplification for hour logs. MedHub was easier to quickly log hours via a single scroll wheel each day instead of opening different wheels for start and stop time and work out type. This makes it unnecessarily cumbersome to log a weeks worth of hours in one sitting. Also MedHub checked for hour violations and showed weekly totals on screen as well as check boxes for all hours criteria (total hours, 24 hours off each week, post call days, etc.). NI should add this. NI could also improve on this by making the hours compliance checks a 4 week average rather than MedHub which was only checking one week at a time. This is the primary function of the mobile app and could be much more sleek and user friendly ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2022-07-08, version 1.6.661* Can’t even get passed the first page, app doesn’t work. I downloaded this hoping that it would save me time. Unfortunately, after opening an evaluation to complete it, it becomes very cumbersome because it is not optimized for mobile use… It’s basically displaying the desktop version of the website which is extremely difficult to navigate. We moved from medhub, and for all of its faults, I appreciate it more than ever after using NI. Have the developers ever tried to use their own app? Essentially, they have no motivation to fix a design UI in an app we are forced to use. I am curious why the app would be limited in this manner. Otherwise, it is really helpful and easy to use.
