## Newest reviews (15 of 87)

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2026-06-03*

Glitchy and takes forever to update from year to year.

### 3/5 — Does anything work?

*2025-10-01*

Search ability doesn’t work / can’t actually search before it freezes and many of the events arent listed

### 3/5 — The filtering needs to be better

*2024-10-27*

- the filtering needs to allow multiple filters from many different filter categories. Right now it only allows one single filter in the whole list. There are way too many events to not have multiple filters and it displays as a check box UI insinuating that multi selection is available for filters when it really is not.

### 3/5 — Pretty decent

*2024-10-17*

I’ve been looking for some recent reviews and found none, so I decided to take it on myself to tell you that the app is pretty good. There’s a lot to be desired but the schedule builder as well as the panel info etc is vast and easy to understand. As a first time goer it helps me build my itinerary which is helpful. Once again this app can be so much better then it is right now, but it gets the job done.

### 2/5 — “Built by tumblr” 🙄

*2023-10-14*

This app is a buggy mess that crashes more often than works. Maps are inconsistent and most of the functionality is shunted off to the NYCC website or showclix. You can look at the scheduled events, but the app has a tendency to delete the events you bookmarked without warning.

### 1/5 — Eats Your Schedule

*2023-10-14*

So the app has now twice: once yesterday at Javits and now today at home, bugs out and eats my schedule. Not only that, which would be annoying enough, but once it’s done that it also pretends that the entire schedule hasn’t been released yet, so it’s just a blank page. Especially fun in Javits North where I don’t get a signal to redownload the app.

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2023-10-13, version 10.0.0*

App keeps crashing and schedules disappear.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-10-13*

Where do I even begin. The most problematic is that the app automatically shuts down when I try looking up the schedule.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2023-10-13, version 10.0.0*

Crashes when I try to click on schedule

### 1/5 — Schedule Gone!

*2023-10-13*

I meticulously put together my schedule in the very useful feature. Woke this morning and all of the items are gone! In fact, none of the schedule is available... and the mobile browser version is terrible, so that's no good. Terrible timing for this to happen.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-10-13*

This app has sucked for years, I only download it when the convention is coming up and delete it after. This year, the app stopped showing events Thursday afternoon. The only purpose the app serves for me is to tell me of panels and times, so now it’s useless.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-10-12*

The app crashes every time I try to open the schedule or the explore tabs. All I was able to load was the artist ally map, which is just an image with booth numbers. How do I see who is at each booth? Who knows! I wasn’t able to click around anywhere else on the app to find out.

### 1/5 — App crashes when changing tabs on iOS17

*2023-10-11*

If you click from the Home Screen to any other tab, the app crashes!

### 1/5 — Horribly Buggy and Poorly Designed App

*2023-10-03*

All the other reviews address the cons of using this app pretty well - it was much better designed in past years for optimal planning.

Something that hasn’t been mentioned is that after adding events from the schedule, the app bugs out and the entire schedule disappears! So annoying.

### 1/5 — Don't bother

*2023-09-23, version 10.0.0*

Does this app really not use iCloud? Good gods.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-10-11, version 12.0.2*

Can’t link any purchased events to the app. How easy is that to fix? I’m sure I’ll post the same feedback next year

### 1/5 — So disappointed

*2025-10-11*

I can see the schedule but can’t search even if connected to the Javits Center WiFi. Thankful for the info both people on the floor.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2025-10-11, version 12.0.2*

The app does not update and does not tell you the schedules of anyone

### 1/5 — Very confusing

*2025-10-10*

Drove 6 hours to NYC. Got in line before 9 to see alien panel. Was told different answers by every single staff member I asked for help. App was no help. Now in fourth line at 10:38 and still have no idea if this is actually the correct line. Will NEVER come to another Comicon.

### 1/5 — another nycc, another broken app

*2025-10-09*

panels from 2024 are listed as of *the day the con starts* and the search function doesn’t work. BEGGING reedpop to actually invest in their app development, it’s embarrassing how nonfunctional the app is every year

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-09-15*

Every year this app gets worse and worse, can’t even search for some artist or booths by their table numbers anymore. Can’t even search since it just freezes the app

### 1/5 — Disaster

*2024-10-20*

Somehow even worse than previous iterations. Constantly bugs back to the main screen, eats your schedule, and has a useless map function. The interactive map does nothing except glitch, so I’m not sure what its purpose was meant to be. Didn’t help me find a single thing. As an aside, it would be helpful to be able to log in, that way it’s connected your showclix account. I realize that since they can’t get it together for even the most basic tasks that this will not happen, but maybe in 50 years. Knew when I saw ‘Powered by Tumblr’ that this was going to be a complete disaster, and this app did not disappoint.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t even open

*2024-10-02, version 11.0.0*

I click the app icon and it just opens to a bigger app logo and never opens the app.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2023-10-15, version 10.0.0*

Crashes every two seconds. Not been usable. Don’t bother downloading

### 1/5 — The More button crashes the app every time

*2023-10-15, version 10.0.0*

The More button crashes the app every time

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy, functional, informative

*2025-10-11*

The interactive map is a great improvement from prior years! The app is pretty easy to navigate, has all the information I’m looking for in one place, creating a schedule is nice to try to keep track of everything we want to try to accomplish in the day. My only comment for next year would be that I’d like to see the interactive map have a feature where it shows us the exhibitors that we added to our favorite list. This way we can get a better visual of who is near each other and navigate the show floor smoother. But overall, it’s a great app, definitely an improvement from last year and the years prior!

### 5/5 — loved it

*2024-10-19, version 11.0.0*

had tremendous fun with my boyfriend here it was our first con and i would love to go again next year

### 5/5 — Everything I Need

*2023-09-15*

The app must not have been finished when the others left their reviews. All panels and event schedules are included, and a map is coming soon. Scroll though the event list, mark the ones you want to see, and you end up with “My Schedule” that’s a focused view of all of your must-see stuff

### 5/5 — Finally updated

*2017-09-23, version 5.0*

This app is a must for all those going to the con

### 4/5 — Add Custom Scheduling

*2025-10-11*

PLEASE add custom scheduling. Allow us to be able to add in notes or something in the schedule

### 4/5 — Add more saving buttons

*2019-09-27, version 7.3.0*

Can I like or save exhibitors and artist alley. It’s much better then cross checking and making a list. If you’re gonna do the app go all out and allow me to use this only app for the whole day to track who I need to see in artist alley and which exhibitors to not forget. THERES SO MANY!!

### 4/5 — Needs yearly content upgrades w.o having to delete and redownload

*2019-09-04, version 6.0.3*

App worked great when i went last year but the app should have constant upgrades and updates so that everyone has the latest info about the con and its guests and events.

### 4/5 — Great scheduler last year (2016)

*2017-09-12, version 1.3*

Is this app's developer working on a 2017 update? If so, that would be a great idea. All of the panels, guests, and whatnot were conveniently sorted. Reminders popped up when events were about to occur. I enjoyed being able to "favorite" panels, artists, and show floor booths I planned on seeing.

### 4/5 — Well

*2016-08-25, version 1.0*

Simply amazing. 10x better than the old app. I love the app because of its quick response time, easy navigation, the UI isn't cluttered but what thing that seems to be back that was a problem in the previous app is the duplicate guest/exhibitor names. Why are they in more than one category? And when I add one from my favorite if I see that exhibitor or artist in another category it should automatically be ticked that's it's in my favorites already. Please bring the My Show Planner back. The customizable agendas were great.

### 3/5 — Helpful but..

*2025-10-11*

The app was helpful as far as letting me know when the next event was happening and allowing the ease of setting reminders with timers. The one major drawback I noted was that while using the map in the showroom, it was hard to orient myself to which direction I should walk to my destination. Even when I had the correct starting and ending points, there was no marker on the map (like a red dot/arrow) to let me know I was actually heading in the right direction. Other than that, I did find it to be useful.
