I have two different versions that I paid for, and neither of them work! I’ve been logging in and out all I’m getting is a black screen on one. The other gives me a screen asking me to subscribe??? I already did twice!!! the old version was excellent and gave you a download of the actual paper, no all I download is frustration. Please refund me my money as I am sick and tired of trying to reach your non-customer service. ### 1/5 — Do Better *2024-10-03* I have been a subscriber through iTunes since iPads first hit the market. I have not been able to see any newspapers since the second week of September 2024. I have tried and failed to get a response from NYDN. No one has been able to help me. My only recourse from Apple is to cancel my subscription. My subscription ends in April. No refund available for the remaining six months of my current subscription. It was great to keep abreast of the news while traveling. But, I won’t be subscribing again. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Spelling and Grammar *2026-06-10* Beginning to think this is a scam site. The amount of spelling and grammatical errors is astonishing. How do you not proofread and spellcheck the articles before putting to digital print? It’s really bad. PLEASE DO SOMETHING! Your articles are riddled with errors everyday, I’ve never seen anything like it. Would never see that in newspaper print. Once our subscriptions are up we’re not renewing and that’s my entire class of hardworking adults. ### 1/5 — Charging $ *2026-02-04, version 10.0.51* I just downloaded this app and opened my very first article ever. Within a second it had a pop up saying that I’ve reached my limit of free articles. (So the limit of free articles is zero?). Find a better way to make money. No one’s signing up for newspapers anymore. ### 1/5 — Poor App *2025-10-22* My biggest gripe with this app is that the daily newspaper is not downloadable. I’ve been reading the Daily News on the subway to and from school/work for many decades. In previous versions I’ve been able to download the paper and read it uninterrupted on the subway no matter where I was underground. I was even able to view a full two page version of the paper so I could really get that “newspaper” experience. That two page view is gone. Also, after “downloading” the newest edition of the day’s newspaper, if a cell connection of some kind is not maintained, the paper will freeze up and not allow you to move around. As is the case on the subway, there are many spots where you lose service for a little bit. I’m constantly being interrupted reading by losing the connection and my paper freezing up. Inevitably, I will tire of this and just be done with the NY Daily News once and for all. Just another thing that will be of the past. ### 1/5 — Why *2025-08-09, version 10.0.42* The app was fine allowing me to read the whole paper on my iPad on a stand in landscape mode This view gave me 2 pages at once and I was able to read it with no issues Now I have to turn the iPad to portrait mode and my iPad cover stand does not work that way WHY did you change it???
