It crashed all weekend! There were people all along 4th Ave in Brooklyn just looking at blank screens trying to refresh for about an hour! I wasn’t able to track friends, family, or use the app at all. This was also true for every person I know. Besides that, why did you have me follow all these celebrities I care nothing about? I really would have preferred not to, and the way you can “track” vs “follow” people was horrible too. People I was “following” didn’t show up on the map because I didn’t “track” them, and instead I was looking at celebrities I had never heard of. What horrible UI. Keep it simple and do better. I’d give 0 stars if I could for not working at all the day millions were counting on you. ### 1/5 — Barely Functional *2025-11-04, version 2.8* I wanted to use the app to track my friends. However, when I asked them to my tracking list, they would get replaced with random people after some time. It was incredibly stressful as one friend was depending on me to give them a gel, and the app kept giving me a random person’s location. Even if I followed an athlete, the people I’m following get replaced by randoms too. It put people I never added to tracking. The app kept deleting the runners I was tracking and giving me one or two random people to follow. I must have reentered my runners six times, also deleting and reinstalling the app to no success. Ultimately just gave up. Luckily the app worked on my husband’s phone so we were able to find our son and niece and other people we were tracking. I’m guessing, since it hasn’t worked all year, something else will go wrong.) Emails did nothing. I’ve been a member for decades. NYRR used to be community centered with a mission of access. It’s so useless. Its single aim is to stay logged in for users that do not want to log on to the website each time. And you don’t do that.
