Why have an app? ### 1/5 — Uugggg this app does not work at all *2024-03-12* I am unable to even get into this app. It keeps saying that I have a bad connection or something to do with my password blah blah blah in which all the issues it states is unfixable apparently I read reviews and it seems that they’ve been having this problem for years so obviously they’re not gonna fix anything. But I just got a gym membership to around the clock which transferred over to New York sports and I have to punch in my phone number to clock in every day. Unfortunately I can’t go on this app to schedule classes. It’s so annoying actually got to go to a computer and reserve my spot for classes that way such an inconvenience when you supposedly have an app that is supposed to make everything convenient for you and I can’t even see my account to my gym lol because it’s supposed to be in this app in which I can’t even get into so that’s kind of frustrating and annoying as well. ### 1/5 — Account inaccessible *2024-02-20, version 7.109.0* I haven’t been able to access my account for months and nobody has responded to help. ### 1/5 — Opening hours are not shown in app *2024-01-31* The app doesn’t show opening hours for the individual clubs nor does it include a link to the respective homepage which would give you the information. Overall the app has no use for me. ### 1/5 — Can't download pass into Wallet. *2024-01-03* Frack. I deleted my pass in my wallet because I saw there was a new app and a new pass. But of course when I tried to download the new pass into my wallet, it won't work. So now I have to open the app every time I go to the gym. I just wish I hadn't jumped the gun and deleted the one in my wallet because it was still working. If you hit the help button the app quits altogether. I'll up my rating once they fix this. ### 1/5 — Apple Wallet *2023-11-15, version 7.100.0* The app does not allow me to add my member card to the Apple wallet, just gives errors. Please fix this it’s an important feature. ### 1/5 — Can’t access *2023-09-19* I changed my type of membership this month, and ever since then I have not been able to access the app, even though I followed instructions for a new link and password reset from the staff and on the app. My major complaint is with the corporate office. There is no tech help line, and in fact no way to reach a person for any issue. And in a Catch-22, I can’t even use their contact function to say the app doesn’t recognize my email, because … their contact interface doesn’t recognize it either. (I’ve been entering my phone number each day to access the gym, so my membership is recognized on a local level. ) ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless update *2026-06-16* I have an app to track my fitness. The Nysc app is used to sign up for classes and to access my membership card. Stop integrating ai into your product, stop charging more every month and adding stuff to the app that nobody asked for. The updated app is confusing, I cannot search for classes easily, and it’s an eyesore to have tons of fitness data (steps, workouts and other metrics) on an app where I just want to sign up for classes or get my barcode. ### 1/5 — Cant log in *2026-05-11, version 8.10.3* Been a BSC (bought by NYSC) member for 20 years. Legacy account and cant log in. Account creation / pwd recovery journey broken. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-04-15, version 8.10.3* App not sending verification email. Reached out to club. No solution. Will cancel membership. ### 1/5 — The app makes the simple impossible *2026-04-14, version 8.10.3* The app has so much potential, particularly the workout videos that are free to members. However, something as simple as a list of each exercise within the workout video or a brief description of the workout is completely absent. You have to click “play” and speed through the entire video to see the actual exercises involved and if the workout requires any equipment. For those who have their fitness watch or other health apps connected to the NYSC app, clicking “play” automatically logs the workout as completed and it messes up my fitness metrics if I don’t manually delete the exercise from my daily activity on the app. Something so simple is made so so complicated - why did they even go through the trouble of filming these workout videos and adding these to their app if they aren’t going to make it easy to engage with. I’m better off just going to YouTube of MyFitnessPal. Waste of a feature that has potential but loses money for both customer and the NYSC company. ### 1/5 — App not working *2026-03-28, version 8.6.1* It’s been over a month and the app will not load past the “Add to Wallet” prompt…. Would think that would be a priority to troubleshoot and fix. ### 1/5 — app is nonfunctional *2026-03-16* Joined yesterday and tried to set up the app. I get to the add membership to wallet and then it just hangs there and refuses to move forward or backwards. I’ve deleted the app, I’ve turned my phone off and back on, I’ve reset my password and nothing works. ### 1/5 — No Access *2026-03-09, version 8.6.1* You can’t get pass adding pass to your wallet. SMH for as expensive as it is at lease fix the app ### 1/5 — App Stopped Working with New Membership Type *2026-03-03* I changed my membership type and am now unable to do anything except it forces you to turn on notifications, which I hate. Then it asks you to add the membership to your wallet. And it freezes there. You can add it dozens of time, but the screen never moves. I spent 1/2 hour at the front desk of a club. They couldn’t fix it. Three people tried. They sent a message to corporate. I can’t use my membership.
