I enjoy reading the national and international news in the Advocate. But it is supposed to be a local community paper. I can read about Gaza but there is no coverage of people killed in car accidents in my community or if there are break-ins and robberies in my community. I running joke is, “Oh, you can read about it in the Advocate, har, har, har.” There is plenty of news about Cleveland and Cincinnati, but evidently there are no local Advocate reporters. I buy the Advocate because there is no alternate news. Plus, there is local news in the Granville paper and Pataskala paper included once per week, other than that, a waste of money. It is infuriating. Now it’s gotten to a point where I can only read a quarter of most articles, and some I can’t even read at all, not to mention that the monthly 25 articles you are supposed to get didn’t even refresh this January. I know it’s probably to keep the paper running, but it’s just gotten really annoying.
