In my experience I got on the app 7 years ago my images didn’t get approved to be listed back then which I understand because before they weren’t of official quality. Then fast forward to now I decided to go back on the app since I have way better images and a better look, I did everything that was needed correct video and all and nothing mind you its been months! Ive sent several emails I don't understand the high reviews seriously! It does feel like they are run by ghost because there is nobody helping you nobody approving you nobody reaching out. Ive been unlisted for months while seeing other experienced models get booked. So this app is cooked ### 1/5 — unusable *2025-11-03, version 1.8.1* Platform is glitching with every task you attempt. Never saves edits. Always losing connection when you’re trying to upload something. Takes days to weeks to get your profile up at all, and if they reject you they don’t tell you, they just leave it in “pending” territory forever. It’s so hard to navigate, i forget it all together when it comes to looking for jobs. i repeatedly try to link my instagram and it never saves. it’s still not linked. there’s zero communication between the platform and yourself. It navigates as if it was developed 10 years ago and never touched since. Literally Piano Tiles is developed better than this. i don’t know how people are actually managing to find business through here; it’s completely unusable. It markets itself like it’s accessible for new models, but i don’t agree with that at all either. There is so little information about yourself you can actually upload, unless you have a few killer campaign shots to go at the top, good luck. Definitely would’ve got more out of putting this energy into another platform. Takes months to get account approved. Used the app for one month but it hardly posts more than a few jobs each day. Only got contacted once for a job and the co. ended up flaking/failing to follow up with details after I rearranged my schedule to accept this job. Stick with better apps like casting networks. ### 1/5 — “ Pilot phase” *2025-07-10* The app is rated 12+ someone who is 13 and over should be able to use the app, correct? well… this app has been out for at least six years from what I know and according to the app it’s still in a “ pilot phase” and during it it’s not allowed to let any users under the age of 18 join the platform that does not make sense at all. How it the at pilot stage after being out for about six years and why is the rating incorrect if you’re planning to let people 12+ join then maybe fix the app. I was overjoyed when I first saw this app because it is hard to find mother agencies and just start a portfolio for yourself at a young age since most models start modelling at 18. Me personally though I’ve only modelled very small projects and don’t have a portfolio so I wanted to get started via this app and have some sort of agency help guide me book to bigger people once I came of age. Well clearly that doesn’t seem to be the route this app takes. If anyone knows if this is a bug then let me know. ### 1/5 — Buggy app *2025-01-27, version 1.7.7* Buggy app and no one ever responds to emails or the app contact form. Forced to pay for a subscription as profile would sometimes show as “in review” after it had already been approved and had no changes. Couldn’t even apply to jobs I was paying a subscription to do. Sent multiple emails about the issue with no response and was continually charged ### 1/5 — Scam App *2024-11-01, version 1.7.4* I paid for a subscription to Newbook, only to be kicked out of the app. I’ve tried reaching out, but they’re refusing to provide any support or access to the services I paid for. This feels like a complete scam. I would warn anyone considering this app to think twice before spending any money here. Very disappointing experience. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2024-05-27, version 1.6.2* I read the reviews and saw that it’s a highly recommended app for modeling jobs, so I decided to give it a try. It’s been about four weeks since I submitted my application for an account, but it still says "account under review." I'm extremely disappointed because the app seems excellent based on the reviews, but I'm not sure what else to do. ### 1/5 — Under review *2024-04-18, version 1.6.0* I was recommended this app by a model in my agency and put my application in, submitted everything, and it’s been about a month of… nothing. Been at least 4 weeks since I applied, and every time I open the app it says my profile is still under review. I’ve messaged their customer service team with no response, put in a support ticket with no response. At this point I’m just like… yo, does anyone work here? So now I’m deleting it. ### 1/5 — $20/month?! *2023-09-06, version 1.5.6* I had a feeling this day would come. To charge us a monthly or yearly fee and then take a cut out of the gigs we do book is insane to me. And if you stay with the free basic plan, ONLY 3 SUBMISSIONS A MONTH IS EVEN MORE INSANE. That’s not even 1 submission per week. I really think things have been taken to an extreme, especially with such a huge announcement not being communicated or released to the platform users properly.
