With the latest update radar tracking is nowhere to be found. I miss it. Bring it back. I’d also like the week to be current, not May. The weather has been vastly improved, except for one thing. The radar appears to have been removed. Extremely poor management! The Walmart app opened. Why are you allowing this to go on? ### 1/5 — Redirected *2025-11-26, version 9.2.9* I have really come to enjoy News 12 and their app. Unfortunately in the last few days I am being redirected to a third party website with a Russian address trying to pass itself off as a McAfee virus scanner. The users only option is to select “yes” or “no” to a question on whether they “love the app. ” selecting “no” opens a new mail message in the mail app to seemingly share feedback directly to the developer which bypasses the App Store review process. ### 2/5 — Ads and Pop-ups *2025-11-03, version 9.2.8* I’ve been using this app for years - mostly to check local weather and it has been fine. Even if the trashy ads were a turn off, they were unobtrusive at least. Until recently when the app has started forcing you to your web browser and started running fake anti virus scan popups. Awful experience and feels like you’re dealing with some kind of really blatant malware site. Surely Optimum/Altice isn’t this desperate for ad dollars?? ### 1/5 — Fake virus ads beeping *2025-08-28, version 9.2.8* There are ads on this app that will auto open iOS safari and say phone is infected with Trojan virus and then there will be beeping in the news 12 app. Today was a Norton ad that auto opened in safari and said phone was infected. ### 1/5 — Too many issues *2025-08-26, version 9.2.8* The lack of proofreading was annoying enough before (and yes you have to proofread AI generated content), now there are ads everywhere - there are more ads than content. But the final straw and reason I’m going to stop using the app is that an anti virus program now opens automatically and starts scanning when I use the app. Judging from other reviews here, it’s happening to other users as well. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Welp *2026-08-06, version 10.0* Since in the update the video player is better HOWEVER “hyperlocal” news seems to no longer exist. Feed is now filled with every news12 location instead of the location selected.
