Usually, up til now I have had realively no problems and it has been good. Until today. Today I am not allowed to open the app UNLESS I agree to notifications “pushed” to my phone. I do not desire that, want that etc. However, NOW you demand it. I guess I will continue with channel 4 or the weather app. I do not HAVE to allow access to my phone for notification of what YOU want me to know. All I want is to be able to see the weather with out all the bulls&&$! Too bad. Will continue to depend on News 9 news and weather. ### 2/5 — Recently Removed Weather Videos *2026-03-02, version 8.0* I mainly use this app to keep track of the weather forecasts. Typically, this app has a section called “Forecast Discussion” where I could watch the most recent weather forecast videos since I can’t watch it during the normal program time. This feature was recently removed and now I can’t stay up to date with the weather forecasts for the week, just the typical hourly and daily weather which doesn’t provide a lot of insight into the possibility of severe weather. There’s a tornado headed for me right now but the “live” is showing a time from over an hour ago. It’s like they have 14 year olds in their operations departments. They can’t spell the days of the week in the Forecast. This news channel embarrasses me and I explicitly tell people NOT to use news 9. Also, they are racists and protected for being so. Nasty nasty nasty. These people make me ashamed to be Oklahoman. ### 1/5 — News 9 Values Viewership over Safety *2025-06-07, version 7.9* This app hardly ever works when you need it, they play one million ads every time you reload a page. They try to confuse you and trick you into watching old footage. It’s 2:30 in the morning and I’ve been watching their livestream all night. They stopped broadcasting and rolled the footage right into footage from an hour and a half ago. Why on earth would I care about what the radars and storm trackers said an hour ago. David Payne has no problem acting like he’s an A list movie star but he can’t even be bothered to stay up during late night severe weather, if he can be bothered to come in at all. Just today he was saying that we “had a lot of fun tonight” when there are at least two reported injuries from the tornadoes across the state. They also can’t be bothered to update their weather forecast. Well guess what David, Payne in my neck. Nobody cares about your stupid stories, sports news, or “expert” interviews. We only watch you for the weather and particularly you because of the equipment. Show up, do your job, go home when the job is over. People rely on you for their safety and you act like that’s nothing. Also if Envirodispose is reading this, I am absolute never ever using your company, and I will vehemently recommend against it. ### 1/5 — Watching live is almost not an option *2025-06-07, version 7.9* As stated in title watching live and staying live is almost impossible. Commercial breaks end the newscast then good luck trying to find the live again. Somehow the live video gets ahead of the video even if you click the live button also dont try picture-in-picture because after 5 mins the video stops then you ha e to watch the envirodispose ad then whatever ad it chooses to play just for it to not be live And you have to fast forward ### 1/5 — Advertisement *2025-06-03, version 7.9* I actually like News 9 but the EnviroDispose mandatory add EVERY TIME that I open the app including when there is an active tornado warning at my home is ridiculous. Seems to me that the locally owned news station is getting lazy.
