If they can find a way to make the puzzles and content under diversion accessible it would then be worthy of a five star rating. ### 2/5 — Terrible app *2025-09-29, version 2.1.10* Short form content won’t even display ### 3/5 — Good Not Great *2024-07-30, version 2.0.5* App is great as a news reader but search is spotty and some news stories have a delay getting into the app (I just looked for a news story published 3 years ago and it’s not coming up, even searching just based on the reporter’s name). For what we pay for an annual subscription we should have news stories a available at the same time they’re originally published. ### 2/5 — Newsbreak Broken *2024-03-08, version 2.0.5* The breaking news segment of the app seems to work fine, the NewsBreak area not so much. There have been articles kept in this area for months at a time without recent content added. Recently this area doesn’t load anything for the last two days. Other articles don’t show up in the right place or are important to find. And Breaking News section contains day old news at times. However, the app needs improvements. The links to previous articles take you outside of the app, and requires you to sign in to a WFP account on a web browser; not ideal. In addition, the app often crashes (signs me out, or shuts down). I really appreciate the great news that WFP puts out, so it would be great if the app worked with more ease. ### 3/5 — It used to be better *2022-09-15, version 2.0.5* I recently noticed that when I open an article there are no pictures. New news isn’t updated that often. If I click on Maureen Scurfield all the days’ letters including current day’appear. What doesn’t work varies from time to time. If I want Winnipeg Jets, or Diversions, or anything else, it crashes every time. I see that other people have the same problem. Also, sometimes the articles don’t open when you click on them in the right side panel. Please make the app work like a real app that you want people to use. Oh, and now it frequently and randomly asks you to sign in. Reducing my rating by another star. ### 1/5 — What paper? *2022-09-17, version 2.0.5* App crashes all the time. Why can’t they put the name of the newspaper on the app so I can find it on my phone by searching? ### 1/5 — What happened? *2022-07-27, version 2.0.5* No new articles in Local, articles in other sections won’t open, search doesn’t work, keeps asking me to login and then won’t open the article. Completely useless. ### 1/5 — Broken *2022-07-21, version 2.0.5* Not sure what was done with this last update, but I can’t read any section past the local section on the bottom bar. It keeps prompting me to login, then it errors out and repeats indefinitely. My account is fine, as I can log in and read all sections in a browser. Tried a reinstall, no luck… :-(. UPDATE: now it’s constantly crashing on any section past the arts section.
