Definitely NOT an improvement. ### 4/5 — Informative Local Paper News & Sports *2024-07-15* I was born and raised in the Ozarks. I now live in another state and have taken the Springfield News-Leader subscription through the app. As usual, the coverage of local news is great. Athletics, local, state,and national news are real news by neutral writers. You can tell the quality of the coverage and the paper’s accuracy without a slant or an agenda. After looking at other paper’s, the News-Leader is a good source for the Queen City news and the Ozark region. ### 4/5 — Paid subscriber, but no access *2024-03-02, version 7.6.1* I have a paid subscription, but I can not sign in to read the newspaper. I’ve deleted the app, installed again, still no access. What to do next? ### 2/5 — Springfield NL *2023-12-02, version 7.5.1* This app worked pretty well till they made changes this week. Now it is very difficult to select articles to read in the sidebar as the print on a standard iPad is so small. If searched the setting multiple times and there is no way to turn it off. My only option is to turn off notifications on my phone altogether. Since updating to iOS 14 this app continues to fail and fail and fail. The text literally falls off of the pages when you load a page (downloaded or on-line reading). If I page forward or backward then reload the page it MIGHT keep the text on the page but most of the time closes the app. I have emailed the editor of the paper with my problem which he/she acknowledged as an known issue. That was weeks ago with still no resolution. I get Apple rolled out iOS 14 with essentially no warning; but that was some time ago now. Couple that with the fact I am paying for the daily-edition via this app and you can see I am clearly getting the short end of the stick. I have subscribed to the News Leader for over 50 years but that may be about to end. The news is always 2 or 3 days behind but I can live with that. Now that I can’t see the enewspaper on the app I may not continue. I want the version back that was like the actual newspaper. There are stories on this paper today that are from 2020. There are stories that have been in this version for a week Somebody is not monitoring the online version at all. I have signed up and pay my monthly subscription to access the paper digitally. I then sign in and it asks me to keep signing in even though it seems like it just accepted my sign in. Do not buy this.
