Moving to Action News Jax where they are definitely professionals and it shows in their appearance and their vocabulary!! No more Katie Garner!!!!!!!! ### 1/5 — Nothing but 1⭐️ since update *2025-01-13, version 6.90.26* Not a single good rating since the redesign because it is a mess—not intuitive, hard to read, hard to navigate, ads hijack everything. If I tap on the day, I want that day’s forecast & hourly, not be taken to the same screen on a different page & have to navigate tabs. The full forecast is buried on a totally separate tab on the left instead of with the day. It’s like you don’t want us to actually get the weather from the app. ### 1/5 — Leave the old app *2024-11-19, version 6.90.25* New app is awful. The radar isn’t readable. Old app, especially the radar was sooooo much better!! Newer isn’t better!! ### 1/5 — Video Rotation *2024-10-29, version 6.90.21* Weather forecast video is in portrait orientation only, no longer rotates to wide screen. In their rush to monetize the app they made it much less user friendly to the point I use different apps even though I’m a Jax resident. The weather information is compressed to make room for the adds and the user interface is lacking. Does not have as much detail or longer range predictions. This new app does not even show anything and it has to many layers to get to what you are looking for. ### 1/5 — Worst weather channel ever *2026-08-05, version 7.1.4* This is by far the most inaccurate weather predicting ever. Don’t plan your day around these clowns. The forecast for this app getting the weather wrong is 100%! ### 1/5 — 4 hurricane and this not the same *2026-05-31, version 7.1.1* I, just as much as everybody else had to get this out because hurricane four says this is replacing you need to download it. This app is a whole bunch of extra steps to tracker Hurricane and it’s easier to use is horrible when it comes to something like a hurricane simplicity is best I hope sincerely that News for jets will discontinue their plans to merge the two apps ### 1/5 — Forced App Download *2025-08-08, version 7.0.3* This supposed improvement from the Tropics Watch App is a cluttered mess of mixed news, apparently trying to trap the user into non-weather news and, of course, advertising. I’m not talking a little off, you’ll go so far as tell me it’s storming and there are a few clouds only and sun shining. How reliable can an app be when its information is always wrong. No matter how fake and chipper the weather people are, the forecasts are always wrong. Always. Lie to me with a smile on your face. Awful. Can’t trust the weather as much as you can not trust the news. Awful. ### 1/5 — Radar *2025-07-04, version 7.0.0* I have uninstalled and reinstalled from the NEWS4jax app and from the App Store but can not get the radar map back to the way it was. It would show 2 hrs future. Mine now stops at NOW / duh. I know what it’s doing now. ### 1/5 — Downgrade *2025-07-01, version 7.0.0* This used to be my go to weather app but ever since the “upgrade” it’s nothing but trash! I will be deleting this app and moving to First Coast Weather of Jacksonville. Last 2.5-3 weeks when I open it, it immediately closes (within 1 second). I click to open it again and it opens. Only once has it closed two times in a row. I didn’t notice an update that hasn’t gone through. And I agree with another poster, I miss the Hurricane app. ### 5/5 — I love the update *2025-07-19, version 7.0.2* I have researched for weather conditions and News! I love the app that I can track the locations I knew, but now there was an update, There are bug fixes so don’t worry now, now you can see conditions not failed and everybody is always on natural disasters to see it. I went out and covered my bike and just as I was putting the last window on my 4x4 it came so hard I was drenched in seconds. Yea. It’s like that!
