I’ve been using this app for a long time, and it really is good. 

However, please change the bottom buttons so that they are more appart. Since the latest update, I keep tripping on buttons that are too close to each other.

One common problem to a lot of RSS readers is that they do not hide read articles from view.  Most will “dim” them like Newsify but not make the article disappear resulting in a lot of clutter on the screen.  Otherwise it’s decent.

The best RSS /news app. I use it as a counterbalance to the default Apple MSM rubbish.  Only complaint is the Newsify widget does not refresh on its own. Maybe it’s an iOS 26 problem.

Latest update for the iPad has turned the clock backwards. Where has the counter gone? Settings say it’s there, but it’s disappeared. Also, why can I see every folder of feeds on my Home Screen three times?

I very much love this app, the layout is nice and being able to group stuff in the folders is a plus. I have two complaints. The fact I can’t change it the text to comicsans and that pressing a RSS feed link doesn’t bring up the app to add the link. It’s a minor inconvenience but all the same. It will be nice if it was already a feature.

This is well organized and light weight, not clogged up with ads and can manage lots of feeds...
Strangely, you cannot just give it a URL to point to. You can try, then it searches in its database, comes back with the wrong one and then fails to read it entirely, so if you're looking for things like Canadian food recalls and health notices, you get RCMP in BC and it doesn't load but you're not allowed to fix it. You can confirm the URL is wrong but even when you have it in the clipboard there's no recourse

UPDATE: It looks like email routing issues on my end were the reason the app dev hadn’t received my screenshots. I sent them over and he quickly identified the issue and gave me a workaround. I couldn’t be happier - 5 stars!!!

I’ve been a subscriber of Newsify for several years now and have really enjoyed using it. It is literally almost perfect: customizable, easy to use, and affordable. 

I haven’t had a single issue over the last few years except for the fact that you cannot add a custom URL/source from the iOS app. You have to do it from the desktop interface, which is a pain. 

I brought this up to the developer and received a pleasant response stating the feature was available. I sent a follow up email with screenshots showing the issue but have not yet received a response in over a month. 

I’ve since switched to a competitor as I couldn’t keep paying for an app that is missing such a huge feature. If this is fixed, I likely wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I used newsify for a while and recently returned to it but it seems broken. Won’t sync, I keep getting an error. I tried restarting my phone, as well as deleting and reinstalling but now it won’t let me sign in. I guess i have to find yet another rss reader, yet again.

If you use an ultra-wide or 4K monitor, give this one a pass. There’s no way to zoom in. Cmd + + does nothing. The “Zoom” button in the menu just makes the app fill the screen (not like fullscreen, but expanded). This is a very basic accessibility functionality that’s baked into most apps by now - especially if their focus is, you know, READING?

After upgrading to iOS 18 on two phones and two iPads, many of the feeds have gradually stopped working.  We’ve reloaded the rss addresses but that doesn’t change anything.

Data portability is important. RSS is a feature of the open web, and moving between services should be made easier. I'm actually trying to move to Newsify, but the lack of OPML support is making it more difficult.

Update: Requiring an account (which lessens privacy) to import OPML is not good enough. You need to add support within the native apps and not require an account before I will increase the rating.

Ich lese täglich zig Artikel via RSS und habe alle bekannten RSS-Reader getestet. Insbesondere die Fulltext-Funktion ist Gold wert. Ich bin seit Jahren happy. Etwas schade finde ich nur, dass der Entwickler keine Verbesserungen mehr aufnimmt und das Produkt offenbar als ausentwickelt ansieht. Ich warte seit Jahren darauf, dass ich einzelne Artikel als ungelesen behalten kann und den Rest in der bei mir oft langen Artikelliste als gelesen markieren kann. Bisher kann man in der Artikelliste nur die zuvorstehenden Artikel als gelesen markieren. Das hilft leider wenig, wenn man nur einzelne Artikel als ungelesen behalten und alle anderen als gelesen setzen möchte. Ich bat den Entwickler vor vielen Jahren um dieses Feature, welches bei anderen Readern schon lange Standard ist. Er versprach, sich der Dache bei Gelegenheit anzunehmen. Die Gelegenheit kam offenbar nie.

This is an excellent rss app. My only minor suggestion is to increase the space between the icons on the bottom toolbar.

I like this app but its key bindings on macOS is driving me crazy. Page up/down should scroll the article by a page. Instead, they just beep and you have to use space/shift-space.

Also, home/end should go to top/bottom of the article.

I will keep my rating at one star until the dev fixes this annoying problem.

I’ve used abs paid for this app for years, after trying all the other popular ones. The newspaper layout is amazing. The advanced downloading of full articles for offline reading is amazing. The developer is very responsive. Would recommend.
