Habe direkt nach dem Kauf des Jahresabo versucht eine Erstattung/Teilerstattung zu beantragen da sie wirklich nichts kann was den Preis rechtfertigt - leider ohne Erfolg. Geld weg, App direkt gelöscht - nutze Flipboard, das ist schöner und umsonst bei gleicher Funktionalität. **Developer response:** Danke, dass Sie Newsreadeck heruntergeladen und ausprobiert haben — und dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben, Ihre Erfahrung zu teilen. Es tut mir wirklich leid, dass die App Ihre Erwartungen nach dem Jahresabo-Kauf nicht erfüllen konnte. Wir verstehen vollkommen: Für manche Nutzer ist Newsreadeck hilfreich, für andere vielleicht nicht — und genau deshalb würden wir gern besser verstehen, welche konkreten Probleme Sie hatten (Design, Funktionen, Performance, Inhalte, Bedienung, etc.). UI (top navigation bar) would stop responding until a force quit. Everything feels very cramped and not well thought out. These are the basics to get right before adding useless AI features that nobody wants. App is not ready for prime time, nor is it a suitable replacement for any news reader out there. **Developer response:** Thanks for downloading and trying Newsreadeck, and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I’m really sorry for the poor experience you had on iPad — especially the top navigation bar becoming unresponsive and needing a force quit. That’s absolutely frustrating, and it’s not the kind of first impression I want anyone to have. You’re also right about the layout feeling cramped: at the moment, Newsreadeck is designed and optimized for iPhone, and while it can be downloaded on iPad, the UI isn’t yet tailored to larger screens. An iPad-optimized version is already in progress and planned for release in 2026. Regarding the “AI features” point: they’re completely optional, and the goal is to support reading (summaries/translation) — not to replace the basics. That said, you’re 100% correct that stability and a great UI experience come first, and the iPad issues you described are taken seriously. In the meantime, please know I’m working to improve things as quickly as possible so Newsreadeck delivers the best possible news-reading experience for everyone. ### 1/5 — Opposite to what website advertise *2025-09-16* The app website says in its description and FAQ no account needed and 100% free. But guess what… account is mandatory upon launching the app and after a few personalization steps, an aggressive full screen popin locks you to subscribe to some paying offers without which the app won’t run after 7 days… All this to get something that in the end looks very much like google news : just a few headlines. Awful. **Developer response:** Hey there! 👋 Thanks so much for your feedback — and sorry for any confusion! Just to clear things up: the app is 100% free to use. You can follow your favorite sources and read as many articles as you like without any subscription or time limit. We do have optional premium plans that unlock a few extra perks — things like unlimited bundles, collections, and custom filters for muted words — but that’s completely up to you. The free version works great on its own. We’d really love for you to give it another shot — we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! 😊 And if you run into anything that doesn’t feel right, just reach out. We’re always happy to help. ### 1/5 — Failed, not found *2025-02-04, version 1.8.0* This app would be very useful but doesn’t let me to sign up account. “Failed, not found” message appears in all three cases: Sign Up, Sign In and Continue as Guest. But after adding my chosen content providers, the experience fell apart. 1. It doesn’t refresh, so your old content hangs around. Stories should disappear once read. 2. Chosen sources disappear. Poof - all gone. 3. Once you’ve chosen sources, it’s a mystery how you might add more. 4. If you delete the app and start moving around an app now they they do over, you can have a decent experience again. Once. Great concept. Needs a LOT of work to be useful and deliver on its promise. Um outro ponto é questão do “add free”. Isso é relativo pois alguns canais te forçam a ler propagandas depois que você clica no artigo. But I am totally confounded as to how to follow additional content after the initial selection. I can see what I’m following and I can see the articles but I see no place to go in and follow additional sources. **Developer response:** Hi. There you will find the most relevant news in your language or if you prefer, you can perform a particular search filtering by city, country or language and discover new sources of information.
