When a malay start a suggestion, they will atack and blame islam even though the discussion is about which food is good for health. Suddenly start talk halal not good etc. They start bashing every nickname that sound malay. If you start religion discussion, its more tension. They serve other gods but they talk and act like we have the same god. Hahaha. Then they started talked like they own the world. Haaaaaaahh. Im sorry, this is not hate speech but please at least control yourself when commenting and use brain to comment. Not using hatred. Discrimination? ### 1/5 — Not a really good app *2021-02-22, version 3.16.1* It takes up too much RAM and drains my battery too fast (I’m using IPhone 7plus btw). My phone doesn’t even drain battery or slow down when I play games on it but when it comes to this app, it’s really annoying me. Secondly, I hv tried to unfollow some of the News Outlet for so many times but somehow it will automatically “FOLLOW” them back for God knows by what reason. ### 2/5 — Racist comments are not regulated *2025-08-25, version 7.4.10* Most people are giving opinions out of emotions and too many are spewing hatred to other races especially anything related to islam. No issues of giving critical opinions based on facts but the double standards of the readers on articles for different races are too obvious. The saddest thing is it’s not regulated or no clear guidelines are shown or implemented. But the other blue guy has this policy so after using this app for a long time I decided to make the switch. I hope these people are minorities and does not spread their toxicity to others. ### 2/5 — Notifications hell *2021-09-05, version 4.7.7* The app is genuinely [quite] useful as a source of Malaysian news, but the notification settings are appalling. There are 4 notification settings: none, important, top headlines and everything. The “important” setting is only meant to push 0-2 notifications a day -this is the app’s own description. But at this setting I get close to 10 or more notifications a day (daily Covid number reports alone contribute 3-5 notifications even at this setting!)…what’s the point. The app becomes ridiculously intrusive at this point. So the only option is to turn off notifications, which means zero alerts even for important news. It’s fairly unbelievable that the developers set the definitions for the notification settings, but they then make an app that is completely at odds with it. ### 2/5 — Ads and blacked-out articles *2021-07-11, version 4.4.1* The idea is a good one. However, there are way too many Ads and a lot of the articles are greyed or backed out - I can only assume that the linkage was blocked by the owners of the articles. For the amount of Ads they carry, I would think they can afford to come to agreement with the the news owners. ### 3/5 — Great app but recently… *2024-12-15, version 7.4.7* Your app started those video ads when click on an article. I don’t mind these ads but once I close it to scroll down to read the article, the video kept on popping up. That, it is very irritating and annoying, and I ended up not reading the article but source the story somewhere else. TBH, because of this, I have seldom use your app already. I just checked your app, and it’s still there, that means I will stay away until it is no longer that way. ### 3/5 — Ads music annoying *2024-01-17, version 6.12.9* You know people would start their day with reading news from house, work, school and etcs. When we login to the apps, it started to show ads for 3secs with the music. Some people might think we are snaking, you tubing etcs. Thanks ### 3/5 — Stop interrupting my music and radio stream! *2023-06-20, version 6.6.0* I don’t mind ads in your news article, but the way the embedded ads cut out the music/audio stream in the background is way too annoying. I typically listen to news and business radio in the morning while going through important news on the app, I find myself having to restart my music/radio stream numerous times every time I read a news article in this Newswav ad, it’s getting unbearable.
