New level features show up along the way to keep things a little more original. My main issue with it is the uneven difficulty. Many levels are solved in a few seconds on the first attempt. Too few have interesting difficulty. Yet a handful required hundreds of attempts to get the execution just right (it was no longer fun). It would benefit from more complex puzzles with the switches and walls. ### 4/5 — Calming, absorbing, well-designed *2018-09-08, version 1.5* A very nice minimalist-design game, gently walks you through its basic elements before getting satisfyingly difficult. Also, its colour palette makes it ideal for playing in dark conditions, like while your partner is sleeping beside you :>) ### 3/5 — Fun but... *2018-05-02* It was fun but I paid for it, when it was made free, ads got put in it, and I have them even after paying for it, does that make sense? Not to me. But it is a fun game. ### 3/5 — Instantly deleted *2018-04-21* I instantly delete any app that does fullscreen advertisements, so I didn’t get very far to the game. ### 2/5 — Unimpressed *2018-04-09* Banner ads, puzzles feel hackish, and it seems like the developers were overall lazy on providing a good quality app. (Example: There is a split second at the beginning of a level where you can't control the play area. This is important when it comes to levels that have immediate time pressure.) ### 4/5 — Good game *2018-04-08* Good game for the price! ### 3/5 — Now the ads? *2018-04-04* I would rather pay for the app than be inundated with ads. It is a good game. But now is getting deleted because of ads. I will keep an eye on this app though if the developers come to their senses and realize a large portion of us just want to play, not wait to cancel ad, and then the extra steps to get back to the game if you accidentally hit the screen and get taken to the download page. ### 2/5 — V1.4 ruins this otherwise elegant game *2018-04-04* I downloaded this game a few days ago before it was free and thoroughly enjoyed it. With the v1.4 version, they have made it free and added ads at the bottom of the screen, which is very distracting and takes away from the elegance of the interface and environment. There are also ads between levels, which also ruin the flow of the game. There does not appear to be a way to eliminate these ads and interruptions, so I will likely abandon the game and delete it. Shouldn’t people who paid get a bonus!! ### 4/5 — Mind boggled *2018-04-01, version 1.3* Ace games to test your grey matter ### 3/5 — Controls are sticky. *2018-03-31* In the later levels, when timing becomes more of an issue, there’s a slight delay in responsiveness to controls initially. It’s enough to make a player give up. The controls need to be responsive the moment the physics kicks in. There’s too much guessing if a tap or drag will register or not. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t do a good job of simulating gravity *2018-03-30, version 1.3* This a great concept for a game, but it does a poor job of simulating the effects of gravity on the ball. If the ball is in free fall, and you rotate the puzzle quickly, the ball will move erratically instead of continuing to fall in the direction it was originally moving. The controls are twitchy, and it’s too easy to suddenly jerk the puzzle in an unexpected direction. ### 3/5 — Make the levels easier. *2018-02-16, version 1.2* Level 23 is impossible, can you make the levels a little bit easier? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Greedy *2021-06-21, version 1.5* Paid for the game once and now i have to pay again to not get adds. ### 1/5 — Why pay twice? *2018-05-07, version 1.5* I paid for this game when it was released, but after the latest update I have to pay another £1.99 to remove Ads. This is a shocking disgrace. Tried Restore Purchases to no avail. This is a shockingly bad practice and why Apple stands for it I don’t understand. As I have continued to play it, I am increasingly surprised at the complexity of the puzzles, but have been relieved the puzzles are not the ridiculously hard kind that sometimes accompany games like this. The puzzles are challenging, yet after a few tries and you can normally figure out how to make it work. Nonetheless, new elements are added as you progress which make the puzzles interesting and challenging without being overly frustrating or tedious. ### 5/5 — Meditative and challenging *2018-03-28* This is a beautiful puzzle app. Very zen. I feel like a digital rat in a maze in a way, maneuvering my way through a gravitationally fueled puzzle. You don’t need to be able to read or hear, but you do need a basic understanding of gravity.
