### 5/5 — A great app

*2021-01-02, version 2.0*

This is a great app. You have to be patient with the voice recognition system. Speak slowly and pause between the elements of the calculation. The great thing about this app is that when there is an error in understanding your dictation, you can switch to keyboard mode and correct the mistake. I think it would still be wise to divide a long list of numbers to be added into groups so that mistakes can be found more easily. Try it, you can’t go wrong.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2020-12-26, version 2.0*

Exactly what I needed!

### 5/5 — Useful

*2020-12-04, version 2.0*

I do a lot of data analysis in my work, and this app makes it easier and probably more accurate.

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2020-10-20, version 2.0*

This app helps me get my paperwork done so much faster:)

### 5/5 — Superb

*2020-07-08, version 2.0*

Does what it says. Dictate numbers. Excellent for adding up long columns of numbers.

### 5/5 — Dictation feature is really helpful

*2020-01-14, version 2.0*

When adding long strings of numbers it really speeds things up to be able to speak them aloud. I really like this app

### 5/5 — Verbal dictation

*2019-12-20, version 2.0*

Great calculator for verbally saying numbers and having them calculated. Pleased with download.

### 5/5 — Great App!!

*2019-10-14, version 2.0*

I use it for work to calculate on the go and in the car!! Wish it recognized me saying equals and the numbers were bigger when keying in.

### 5/5 — Great layout strong voice commands

*2019-10-04, version 2.0*

In the world of voice controlled devices this one gives me cause to think it can work The-transition from vocal to txt has worked very very well for me This one will undoubtably stay in my Dailey use catagory As a student and teacher somewhat this is of great help thanks to the makers producers ,coders and whatever’ers.

### 5/5 — Saved me hours.

*2019-09-01, version 2.0*

This app saved me hours of hand inputting thousands of calculations. Truly voice command.

### 5/5 — My favorite new tool/toy

*2019-04-07, version 2.0*

For business I have to add lists of numbers that are often longer than my attention span. The voice feature on this app makes it easy for me to stay on task and has turned a dreaded chore into fun.
It’s easy to use and so far has worked flawlessly. Thank you!

### 5/5 — *Awesome* app - HIGHLY RECOMMEND

*2019-02-27, version 2.0*

This is the best calculator I’ve ever had on any phone I’ve ever had. I do a lot of long and tedious sums, and entering them by hand results in too many frustrating errors. Entering them using the voice function in this app makes it go SO MUCH FASTER and with NO ERRORS as you can review what’s being input as you are “voicing” the data in.
I can’t wait to see what the developer(s) will come up with next. Thank you for your good work!

### 5/5 — Easy app to use

*2019-02-13, version 2.0*

This app calculates by my voice which is the only app I will use from now on. The other apps say they will by your voice but they don’t. Your app tells the truth!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Impossible

*2020-04-08, version 2.0*

Can’t get past the tutorial: tried a dozen times, got a dozen error messages all telling me not to forget to close my parentheses—no matter what I did. Come on!

### 2/5 — Used to be great, what happened?

*2023-02-03, version 2.0*

I had lived this app. It no longer can work with decimals. It just errors out when it tries. I don’t know what happened , it didn’t used to do that

### 2/5 — Why is it rounding off?

*2021-01-03, version 2.0*

I’m adding numbers with decimal points (dollars with cents). The app is rounding off the cents which I don’t want. Please advise.

### 2/5 — Odd percentages

*2019-06-18, version 2.0*

Just tried it out. Percentage calculations are odd.
For example:
100+5% gives me 100.05 !
1000+5% gives me 1000.05.
And not 105 and 1050 - as would be expected from a calculator...
Maybe it is just some unorthodox syntax? But I tried every variant I could think of (parenthesis etc)...
Question is then, how many other quirks are there?
A bit disappointing...concept is certainly nice.

### 2/5 — So annoying

*2019-03-18, version 2.0*

Can't edit the voice input text also Mike stop listening too quickly so you have to keep stopping and starting

### 3/5 — Where’s V2.0 ???

*2018-10-14, version 2.0*

Today is October 14, 2018. I just downloaded Newton today expecting to get Apple Watch support. Instead the App Store downloaded version 1.0. There is no Apple Watch support for version 1.0. The Newton app itself seems to be a calculator capable of doing complex calculations and conversions by keyboard or by voice command. Seems to work well. The ergonomics and keyboard layout can be improved however. But I am after the Apple Watch version which is today, not available in version 1.0

### 3/5 — Cash handler

*2017-11-10, version 2.0*

Ok this is good app has some bugs but has promise I can tell my phone when I cash up at work and as and you don’t get the finger mistake when cashing up late at night nice one keep up the good work

### 4/5 — Update Please!

*2022-03-20, version 2.0*

This is the only app that I am aware of that accepts dictated numbers. And it works! I would love to see an update that includes “equals” in the dictated computation to make it even more hands free. Also, an option for a simple calculator with history would be nice for those of us who appreciate the calculator but do not require all its scientific components however wonderful they might be. If the developer does not wish to update, Apple should purchase the programming if they can and offer a decent calculator that does what this one does: voice dictation.

### 4/5 — Works well in different languages

*2019-04-05, version 2.0*

The App works really well and I tried it in different languages with the same success.

### 4/5 — Powerful, with a nice tutorial (but tweaks would be nice)

*2017-02-23, version 2.0*

Does so many things, and voice recognition is a great feature. Even in just doing the tutorial, however, I have a wishlist of features. I wish that you could tap-scroll to correct what you have entered in keyboard entry mode. I got so frustrated while doing the last tutorial entry; I must have entered it 5 times before I could get it just right. In combo with this feature, it would be nice if you could click an entry in your history, have it become active again, and then tap-scroll through the entry to modify it. It would also be nice if I could switch between voice entry and keyboard entry without losing what has been entered. It is frustrating to dictate a large string, only to have a recognition error at the end, with my only editing option being to cancel the whole string. Lastly, there is a point in the tutorial where "calculation" is misspelled.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Highly recommended

*2024-01-03, version 2.0*

Easy to use and perfectly accurate.

### 5/5 — Only calculator you can read to

*2023-07-28, version 2.0*

(might be a dupicate rating; can't tell.)
If you ever had a list of numbers you needed to add up, this is the app you want. You can read the numbers insteadd of looking back and forth between the list and your keyboard.
Ancient app, developer website gone, doesn't work on Macos Ventura, but it works on the iphone and definitly met my needs.
Why doesn't apple's built in calc take dictation?

### 5/5 — Voice feature is the best

*2023-05-19, version 2.0*

I use this calculator to quickly add numbers using voice entry. This prevents a lot of mistakes. It also records what I’m speaking so I can go back and see what I entered. Great product.

### 5/5 — I needed this!

*2022-07-01, version 2.0*

This app has simplified my life, and eliminated
typo-related miscalculations

### 5/5 — Hands Free Calculations

*2022-02-27, version 2.0*

This app is an excellent tool for completing voice calculations for long strings of numbers. I use it on a regular bases in my work for hands free, accurate calculations.

### 5/5 — Great for tracking my spending

*2022-02-02, version 2.0*

At the start of each month I review my credit card spending etc etc and categorize the purchases. Apps like quick books don’t do an accurate enough job of categorizing with AI so you end up having to edit it anyways if you want accurate numbers.

I got this app cause I have my statements open on my laptop and then can just read out the numbers in each category and press enter, allowing my eyes to stay on the laptop screen.

“120+23+21+36+134+55+28+34+21+30+2019+36+91” Takes me about 5 seconds to get my answer and I can move to the next category. Love it.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-07-01, version 2.0*

This app does wonders, especially if you’re doing data entry. The voice recognition is crazy good. I also can speak as fast as I want and it captures everything… which is kind of scary lol.

### 5/5 — Love

*2021-03-22, version 2.0*

I live the voice recognition. I make less mistakes now!!

### 5/5 — I like it. 👍🏽 Just what I needed.

*2021-03-08, version 2.0*

I love speaking into it and being able to review the number entries to see if I missed anything. Then I have the ability to go back manually and add or correct a number entered.
It has way more functions than I will ever need… Or understand ... but when I do get around to the ‘Time Space Continuum’ thing I think this app will be very helpful 👍🏽

### 5/5 — Voice recognition math!

*2021-02-10, version 2.0*

I’ve been using this app quite a bit. It works well without having to type figures in on a touch screen with my clumsy fingers.

I’m old so I wish the text was bigger. 🤓

And I haven’t figured out if there’s a way to edit once you’ve entered, or if you have to go back and redo the whole column?

Overall, very handy. I encourage people to give it a try.
