I need the flute sound. I don’t know how to change the one music to flute. Confusing app. But for the most part is is helpful. ### 3/5 — Logic errors when creating MXL files from PDF *2026-08-22, version 7.13.0* The conversion regularly modifies the length of measures in the file. It appears that if the software doesn’t see a bar line or isn’t clear on a note value, it just changes the measure properties. Measure length should be the last thing it modifies. If there is no time signature change, the software should not arbitrarily change it. ### 4/5 — Presqu’excellent! *2026-08-22* J’apprécie beaucoup cette application qui est devenue mon principal outil de travail. Globalement très recommandable pour un tout petit prix. ### 3/5 — User for a few years *2026-08-10, version 7.13.0* I have been a user for a few years, and while generally Newzik works better than ForScore for me, there are some problems. Mostly that syncing between the website and the app can experience hiccups, where my iPad will not load the music (yes, it’s connected to the internet) even though it displays on the website. It would help me a ton if there was a “Rotate Left” button in the rearrange section in addition to the “Rotate Right.” The other issues are mainly just cosmetic. Namely, switching between pieces puts a big gray box with the piece title in the center of the display. This can be bad if you are playing a gig and have to rapidly switch between PDFs and your first few measures are in the middle of the screen, too! They should also just put a “Setlists” button right on the main screen instead of going to “My Library” first. I can’t imagine I’m the only one who would prefer that. Great to be able to carry all of my music around with me.. The AI generated tracks are handy, although often not 100% accurate. I see them as a bonus not an essential component of the program however. Being able to change the pitch and tempo is really useful. Constant improvements being made. Pretty hard to fault this package really. ### 4/5 — Indispensable! *2026-05-17, version 7.12.0* I have been using Newzik for several years, now. It has become absolutely indispensable to me. So much so that I recommend it to everyone I play with - Brass Bands and Orchestras. Save and and organise my pieces all in one place; create set-lists for concerts; have a rehearsal pad, to save carrying everything around…etc.. Being able to annotate, without marking the original parts, makes it a must. Quickly scan a part, using the built-in scanner and sync within seconds between my iPhone and my iPad. Annotate easily - useful to have it on my iPhone, as well, so that I can annotate wherever I am. I use Newzik on my iPad (and iPhone), so no concerns in concerts where lighting is low. Even outside, on a bright summer’s day…when we get one, in England! Absolutely superb app that I could not live without. Just horrible. I put in some of my sheet music,first of all, I did the ai play thing. I understand it may not be accurate,but my sheets were CLEAR AS DAY. It missed a bunch of measures,played quarter notes instead of half notes,and when I set the tempo it starts glitching and showing things like 1500 bpm or 400??? Something is very wrong with this app. ### 1/5 — No. Not great at reading sheet music to make an audio file *2026-07-29, version 7.12.5* I am grateful for the option to try it out with three free PDFs. So that is why it’s two stars instead of one. The first song that I put in, I was trying to use it to practice a vocal piece with a piano accompaniment. I am very familiar with the piece so I could tell when it was wrong. I also read music, but I’m not really great at playing the piano. On my sheet music there were times that it got the timing wrong or even skipped notes. It isn’t buggy, the UI makes sense, my music is always available on every device, and it gets out of the way so I can focus on making music. When using the ‘Turn sheet music into audio’ feature on a 4/4 score for 4 bass drums, the generated audio consistently skips every half rest instead of holding it for two beats. The notation displays correctly in the PDF, but the AI playback ignores the rests. Und zudem ist der Support äußerst hilfsbereit, schnell und freundlich. Innerhalb weniger Stunden wurde mir ein guter Workaround für eine fehlende Funktion genannt und schon in der nächsten Version der App war die Funktionalität als neues Feature implementiert.
