## What is NEXA?

NEXA is a personal media server and player. Run the free NEXA Server on a Windows PC, Linux box, Mac or NAS at home, point it at the media folders you already own, and watch everything on your iPhone or iPad — on your couch or across the country.

NEXA does not include, sell or recommend any content. It plays the files you put on a computer you control: home videos, purchased downloads, DRM-free music and audiobooks, podcasts and personal copies of discs you own. Your library, your accounts and your watch history stay on your server. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs and nothing is ever sold.

YOUR LIBRARY, BEAUTIFULLY ORGANIZED

Movies, TV shows, music and audiobooks with posters, backdrops, cast, ratings and episode guides
Continue Watching and On Deck that sync across every device
Recently Added rows for each library, plus search and genre browsing
Watchlist and "mark as watched"

PLAYS EVERYTHING

Direct Play when your iPhone supports the file, Direct Stream or hardware transcoding on the server when it doesn't
NVIDIA, Intel and AMD encoders, 4K and HDR sources
Native player with scrubbing, skip, subtitles, AirPlay and Picture in Picture
Auto-play the next episode

SHARE WITH THE PEOPLE YOU TRUST

Invite family and friends to your server with one-time links
Choose exactly which libraries each person can see
Friends can request titles and get a notification when they arrive
Now Playing dashboard for the server owner

AT HOME OR AWAY

Connect directly on your home network, or sign in with a free nexaapp.tv account to reach your server through an encrypted relay — no port forwarding, and your home IP address is never exposed

EXTRAS

Live TV: add a live-TV service you already subscribe to (Xtream/M3U login) and watch your own channels alongside your library
Smart home: dim Philips Hue or Wyze lights when playback starts
