## What is NexGen EMS?

NexGen EMS allows participating organizations to receive emergency alerts and notifications. NexGen EMS features real-time push notifications, two-way distribution list messaging, and message detail downloading in addition to many other features. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
