Most times I have reregister, EVERYTIME! Seriously.. don’t bother with the brand. Wasted hours trying to connect WiFi. Found a Reddit post from a year ago, support told him WiFi flat out don’t work with app. It may or may not be in a future update. False advertisement. One of the reasons I bought it cause it advertised WiFi connectivity. Nexfi connectivity is trash. ### 1/5 — Functionality of grill hindered by poor app *2026-05-17, version 1.0.36* This app is not good. Can’t even see the temperature readings on a iPhone 15. Can’t set probe temperature as apparently I can’t see the entire screen as I put in the temp target but set temp button still ghosted out. Receipts disappointing layout. Not easy to find basic smoke instruction. One recipe just says set temp to medium. Please upgrade app asap. Just bought this smoker and app controls was a selling point. ### 1/5 — Can’t get account *2025-12-31, version 1.0.36* Made an account once. Now when I login for my 3rd time smoking, it can’t find my account. Selected forgot password and it say’s to check my email but no verification code came. Tried creating a new account, asks me to check email for verification but no code ever came. What is the point of Wi-Fi if you cannot control it remotely? ### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX YOUR APP *2025-11-27, version 1.0.36* The app is flawed. I’ve been waiting for close to a year to get the firmware updated but it never does. The app provides wrong information about temp and even occasionally tells me the grill is off when I’m right on front of it and it’s running. Love my smoker, hate the app. PLEASE FIX THIS! ### 1/5 — Keeps making me log *2025-10-30, version 1.0.34* The one thing I really hate about this app is that it like all the time just keeps on making me log back in over and over again somehow notifications can still peek through, but it makes me have to log back in. Did I mention that it makes me log back in and that I don’t like that. I sure wish they could change that it would be probably five stars if I didn’t have to log back in every time. ### 1/5 — Garbage company *2025-08-28, version 1.0.33* The app was trash, my grill would never connect. Then I had issues with my temps in the grill and tried contacting over and over again thru the app and thru the website but got no response whatsoever so I just returned the grill. At least on the weekends, you know, when grilling! *2025-07-27, version 1.0.32* Bought it, loved it the first time I used it, went to use it a second time and can’t connect to it. No app support no tech support at least not on the weekends when 90% of grills get used. It has been doing that for almost a year now. It takes way too long to connect to my neevo 720 plus and each subsequent time I open it, it wants to reconnect all over again. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Manual is bad, app is great! *2026-06-05, version 1.0.36* OK, the first thing we need to remind ourselves is… Anything with more advanced technology (relative) then what we are used to, will have a learning curve. The manual to use this grill? Not so great. The video that Nexgrill provides on YouTube… Now that’s helpful! And it explains many of the reasons for functionality that has created frustration for other reviewers here. Due to obvious safety regulations (you can’t light a grill from a remote app initially), and perhaps just a lack of explanation in the manual of how and why the grill works as it does, this app could use some basic training videos built into it. Connecting the grill to WiFi was seamless and quick. Being technologically savvy, I anticipated immediately being able to open the app and understand how it all works. That’s simply not the case. Watch their video by searching “How to use the Neevo SureTemp controller - NexGrill”, and choose the “Que&A” video by Nexgrill ### 5/5 — Works great *2025-04-21, version 1.0.32* I don’t get the low reviews maybe low IQ’s. Chilling turning on clean mode then turning off grill from my phone is quite optimal ### 5/5 — Helps those long cooks *2023-12-06, version 1.0.31* The app is great at showing me the temperature of the grill and the food when I use the meat probe. I can watch the cook on my phone from the house or when I’m headed to the store to pick up the ingredients I forgot the first time. ### 5/5 — Connects easily to my new grill and love the features. *2022-09-08* Bought a Nexgrill Oakford Pellet Grill and paired it quickly with the app. Love all the features in the app, especially the fact that I can monitor my food while I’m prepping other things for dinner. Other review is nuts. Issue with the app connecting to the grill. Shows no grill and when adding it back it says there is a grilll but doesn't show it. Always says too many in queue try again tomorrow. It shouldn’t be that hard to allow users to update firmware when notified. I also don’t like how the temperature needs to be a certain temp for both burners to remain on so basically it’s only a half grill and I can’t bbq on the whole grill under a certain temp. ### 2/5 — App is terrible *2026-05-27, version 1.0.36* The app is lacking anything, doesn’t leave you log in after set up. Must log in every time. Even on the same instance of grilling. Latent delays in connecting via Wi-fi or Bluetooth. Not sure it evens connect on WiFi. I suppose it’s expected for general brand grill. ### 2/5 — Not good for much *2025-02-07, version 1.0.31* To start with the kudos, pairing the app with my smoker was extremely easy. Basically stand near the smoke with Bluetooth enabled and it will be discovered. Very easy to add to the wi-fi as well. After that though, it’s mostly downhill. The app is buggy and crashes. Timers don’t work at all, connectivity once set up is spotty, and overall I just don’t trust it.
