Forgot your bike, miss the bus, flat tire? Find a nextbike near you with the nextbike app and start cycling right away - available at any hour and with just a few easy steps.

To hire a bike, simply select it, scan the QR code or enter the bike number - then off you go! You can return the bike at one of our stations or anywhere in the Flexzone. Our app provides you with everything you need at a glance. You can easily find the right return location with the map function or manage your customer account. You can also use the app to redeem vouchers, discover news, give feedback, or contact our customer service.

With your account, you can use nextbikes in over 300 locations throughout Europe including KVB-Rad in Cologne, WienMobil Rad in Vienna, Stadtrad Innsbruck, Styr & Ställ in Götheburg, nextbike Berlin, and many more. It asks for your phone number to text you a PIN. I entered it in the correct country code format and it never texts me anything. It won’t give an option for an alternative way around it either. I can’t call anyone so I’m left unable to use this service in any way. Very disappointed.

Tried to rent bikes and had to download the app. It prompted me to enter a phone number, which I did, but never received a PIN that they said they’d sent. Tried multiple times, as did my partner. Saw a review stating the same issue from 5 years ago, so clearly these issues are ongoing. Literally worthless.

I downloaded this app for my partner and I to use the bikes to explore areas around The Mumbles and Swansea. No 2 bikes were available at any docking point - I’m glad I didn’t pay the £5 required to complete registration in the app - would I have received a refund? Disappointing service when there are also no other bike rentals to be found in The Mumbles.

My group tried 4 “electric bikes” on which none of the electricity worked. The brakes and handlebars on many of the bikes were broken, and the bike parking spots are very sparsely populated. Strongly advise against using this service.
