## What is NextCar?

This App allows users to book a rental vehicle. This app also allows user registration and online payment for rentals.

Since 2003, NextCar has been the largest locally owned and operated car rental company in the Mid Atlantic region of the US. Our corporate owned locations and staff span the area from Capital Dome of Annapolis to the ballparks and attractions in downtown Baltimore and its suburbs in the north and west, from the rolling hills of Frederick through the busy suburbs of Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.

In 2015, NextCar began franchising as part of the International Franchise Systems family of car rental companies, and we are very proud to now have locations in Clearwater, Florida, Dartmouth, Massachusetts and on the Caribbean island of St Martin on both the Dutch and French sides of that island. If you have not yet rented a car through Nextcar, there is still time to run. This company is a scam and adds hundreds of dollars in hidden fees. I paid in advance (foolishly) and ended up getting charged about $700 in extra things that were completely unreasonable. Run away!

My experience with Next Car Rental was absolutely dreadful. The woman at the registration desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. After finally directing me to find the car, it turned out to be locked and inaccessible for 40 minutes. During this time, the woman disappeared without any assistance. Additionally, the rental price initially quoted was doubled upon final payment, making it the most expensive rental I've ever had. This was a completely impractical and awful experience overall. I strongly advise against renting from them.

Scam rental company. Prepaid a luxury car, they refused the class of car I reserved when I went to pick up the car as I am a resident of the state, and offered to “downgrade” the reservation.

Wasted time and took my money for several days, and I had to call them to get a refund.

There are Great features in the app, awesome things no car rental company had provided before, but still needs tuning a bit, issues I see from other reviews seems be something I also experienced but the app looks like is not complete seems to be those guys still working on development of the whole thing. This is something car rentals don’t care to do for their customers so I still gave 5 stars for their efforts. I’m sure few months from now this maybe a great thing for customers!

Most locations just display the annoyingly amateur “Oops!” message when you’re trying to book a vehicle.  Several of the locations do not display any vehicles when trying to book a reservation, even if you try to enter different valid pickup and drop-off dates and times even weeks or months in advance.  The “Massachusetts” state option field is still left totally null and blank, even though NEXTCAR lost their Dartmouth, MA rental affiliate/franchise years ago.  App also omits the rental location’s policies, restrictions, and contact information.
