### 4/5 — Double check the data.

*2026-02-27, version 2.1*

It's a great app but I noticed the share feature had incorrect information.
1x: Gbm/E [0,0,2,2,2,0]
That's an A major chord with the fifth in the bass.

### 4/5 — Good

*2025-05-03*

But it doesn’t work with my headphones all other apps work with headphones but this doesn’t

### 4/5 — Really enjoy app but add9 chords diagrams are wrong

*2025-02-18, version 2.1*

Really like the app but add9 chords don't have a 7th but in this app they include it on the diagrams.

### 4/5 — 🙏📿🙏pls add this

*2024-10-23, version 2.1*

the ability to hold and drag to rearrange each chord would make this feel so much more fun too.

and to hold to copy and paste would be so cool too.

🙏pls consider this update 🙏
thank u for this amazing app btw

### 4/5 — AMAZING!

*2024-03-15, version 2.1*

This is amazing! Only qualm is that it isn’t connecting to my bluetooth headphones

### 4/5 — Great but missing chords

*2023-07-11, version 2.1*

This is a very useful tool for working out progressions, I just wish it had augmented chords

### 4/5 — Awesome! Wish I could listen with AirPods.

*2021-06-23, version 2.1*

Great app! The only reason I took a star off is because it disconnects from Bluetooth and so the person next to me hears me playing the chords. Wished it didn’t disconnect from Bluetooth.

### 4/5 — Very Nice

*2021-05-31, version 2.1*

Helpful with making professions. Suggestions are essential. Wish you could also preview the chords when replacing them as you can sequencing them. Great app, nonetheless.

### 5/5 — Great song writing and music theory tool

*2020-06-14, version 2.0*

This is an impressive app. I’ve just started to play around with its functionality but the fact that it can recommend next chords based on what I’ve already played will be a huge help next time I’m stuck with a song im writing.

### 5/5 — Easy and streamlined

*2020-05-19, version 1.1*

Great app! I just wish you could export to midi and it would be perfect

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Huh

*2025-12-25, version 2.1*

App doesn’t even work. At least not in my iPhone 15 pro. Never had an app that didn’t work at all. Make sure waste my time.

### 1/5 — Needs headphones audio

*2025-07-22, version 2.1*

Kind of dumb the audio can't be played on headphones so I can't work on chord progressions on work downtime

### 2/5 — App lacking for people with creative thought

*2021-10-23, version 2.1*

Doesn’t allow me to pick chords like them around the mixolydian mode or chords that are outside the normal scale so in that sense the app isn’t that good

### 2/5 — MIDI export

*2021-06-06, version 2.1*

So let me get this - I’ve just spent time putting my chords together but I cannot share it as a midi?

### 3/5 — Cool app

*2024-09-16*

Would love if you added Augmented Chords though

### 3/5 — Stuck at max volume always

*2024-07-13, version 2.1*

Great app, does exactly what I need FOR FREE.

Flipped my ringer, turned the volume down and nothing… I’m sure it’s just a bug but nonetheless an annoying one…

### 3/5 — Good not bad

*2023-05-16, version 2.1*

The app should have an option to input the specific notes you were playing on your instrument via a chord, chart or diagram. Similar to a reverse cord search. The app should also have some thing that listens to your Hall Chord progression so we can identify what key you are in. also, the manual search for a specific cord is oddly displayed - when I type in a letter of a cord, it should first show results for the corresponding cord, but what it does instead is display in alphabetical order, all chords with that character in it. So if I type in a capital A then the search results display C chords first that have an A in the name. So that’s pretty lame. Lastly, the app uses my microphone to pick up what chords I am playing - it shoul understand the inversion and the position since it can hear the order of the pitches from lowest to highest. I want my cord progression to reflect the inversion and position when I tap on the displayed chords afterward. And I don’t want to hear a full six note chord if I’m only playing three notes for a given cord. Lotta ways to improve this app, but it’s not a bad app. Period. Next cord and hook theory should call one another and make an app together.

### 3/5 — Need improvements

*2021-09-29, version 2.1*

Not good enough

### 3/5 — Lack of Bluetooth headphone support

*2021-03-11, version 2.1*

Great app and I really do like it but it doesn’t seem to be able to work with Bluetooth headphones, it will always default to playing out of the speaker or headphone jack which makes it difficult to use on the go

### 3/5 — Pretty good

*2020-07-21, version 2.0.2*

It’s alright. It isn’t going to provide you with dynamic structure. The playback functionality is pretty rough and rigid, unpleasant to listen to. However this app can help you determine where your progression could go next and you can’t beat free.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2025-12-20, version 2.1*

I use it during live church service for chords I couldn't quite distinguish by ear and it's been helpful.

My only request would be that there is an option to use a number system alongside/under the actual chord name.

### 5/5 — THE MOST GENIUS music writing assistant possibly ever

*2025-11-27, version 2.1*

I write songs on guitar and I write lyrics to them before i record. this always makes for the most genuine expression of my lyrics. this app has made it so much more efficient to create tunes to sing to. on top of that it will make you a more refined guitar player because you will learn by name some rare chords !

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-01-14, version 2.1*

I found this tool to be useful with my own songwriting

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-09-22, version 2.1*

Really enjoying it. If the chords could indicate the intervals that would be awesome.

### 5/5 — App

*2023-12-04, version 2.1*

Bueno para aprender

### 5/5 — This is amazing!!

*2023-11-26, version 2.1*

Very sick app that allows you to have fun with building progressions

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2023-06-22, version 2.1*

Love everything about this app. I like the chord diagrams but one thing annoys me, the fret numbers are so small I have a very hard time reading them. If they made the fret numbers larger that would help me. Is it just me?

### 5/5 — It’s perfect for my needs

*2023-03-23, version 2.1*

I needed an app that would allow me to experiment with various chord progressions. That is exactly what this app does.
I use it all the time. I have no issues with it.
I would recommend adding easy midi copy paste into my daw. But I can’t recommend it enough.

### 5/5 — Makes you a musician

*2022-12-05, version 2.1*

This is invaluable. Figuring out chord possibilities takes a lot of learning, and there is always more than you could ever think of available.

This helps put it all immediately at your fingertips. You just take the chords and run, or do your analysis afterwards to see why it works and why you do/don’t like it.

### 5/5 — Saw your post on r/wearethemusicmakers and am not disappointed

*2020-07-04, version 2.0.1*

Fucking amazing
