### 2/5 — Not the best app

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

This app will report you for anything that they do not like and yes, it is per person basis. There is not a streamline set of rules and most days. It’s a waste of time. It is a place where every other post is about rehoming a pet.

### 4/5 — New comer

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

So far I am liking what I see

### 3/5 — Not a place for everyone

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

Very eye opening as to how disrespectful our society has become.

### 2/5 — WAS a great APP

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

I’ve used Nextdoor for more years than I can remember and lived in 4 different locations. It was always SO helpful - for local business reviews, safety, news, selling/giving away items, helping others, connecting with people in the neighborhood & much more…
It WAS great because you could select the distance from your home and/or which local neighborhoods ones you wanted to see in your feed)!
NOW, I’m ready to be done! I HATE that I am turning to other APPS (none specifically for neighborhoods, but have that option).
EVERY single time I check the APP HAVE to check ONE option: “For You,” “Most Relevant,” “Most Recent,” OR “Nearby”….. BUT “Nearby” is NOT in any chronological order, NOR can users choose what’s “Nearby”!

I am ready to simply delete my account, or attempt to gather all of the people in our 500+ small neighborhood and those within a specific area that’s truly neighbors…ie a small radius (size in miles or specific named neighborhoods depending on geographic location).
Nextdoor has become nothing but frustrating between knowing literal street names to pay attention to, OR more deceiving ads (that appear like posts).

It’s unfortunate to put it mildly.

### 2/5 — Freedom of Speech

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

Truth cannot be told on this app…

### 2/5 — Still not good

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

First of all, the app brings me no neighborhood pleasure at all. It’s just a venue for people to complain, criticize and talk liberal clap trap, uncensored and allowed. Yet when the other side is voiced, and especially when good, constructive conversation is happening, it gets shut down. Deleted. How is this legal or normal??
BUT I’m writing this review because after the most recent update, there is no longer the sorting choice in top left. “Recent, trending, etc”I would always choose trending first. Now I’m stuck seeing 2,3,5+ day old posts first. No way to get the most recents on top. Bring back the sorting option. Fix please.

### 3/5 — Too much trumpy politics

*2026-08-22, version 6.213.1*

Nextdoor could be a great community but is almost always infested by trumpy trolls who start idiotic political rants at each turn. I wish there were a way to block certain individuals.

### 1/5 — Wanted passport and drivers license, mostly ads

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

Some useful neighborhood info but most posts are ads. After never posting or commenting, just viewing they suspended me and required me to send them a copy of my passport and drivers license. Very questionable and deleted the app.

### 1/5 — Turned into Angie’s list

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

You have to pay now to recommend you own business. Basically Angie’s list 2.0.

### 2/5 — It’s ok

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

I like some of the used stuff for sale, but too many folks looking for a handout.

### 1/5 — Moderation out of control

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

The rules on this app make 0 sense. So local news can post politic articles but if I comment MY opinion on the subject and it even partially is biased I get banned? Politics are part of local community. Either ban it all or you can’t ban political opinion. Nextdoor employees a bunch of Reddit mods

### 1/5 — Dethreads comments and suggests reposts

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

The app will give a warning about ‘politics’ and keeping it local even when you aren’t talking politics, and it will throw those comments out of thread. It’s a horrible design, and the AI that is analyzing the speech is plain wrong a lot of the time.

The way they run moderation allows very biased people to take over and kick off comments they don’t agree with, even if the comment doesn’t violate any rules. There is no visibility into voting, so you can only guess on who is biased based on their other content.

I have seen white nationalists become moderators more and more, even though they are a minority, and their bias is negatively impacting the experience. I only stay on so that I can combat the dog whistles and let neighbors know that the bigots aren’t the majority, but it’s getting exhausting.

Finally, the repost suggestion is awful. Please take it away. Most comments don’t need to be a repost, and it just creates junk in the feed.

### 1/5 — purchase

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

I tried to purchase a Play station 5 on lafetra, Nextdoor, but was scammed and lost $100. Don’t trust Nextdoor posts

### 1/5 — This app sucks

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

It’s too easy to get suspended. Say anything, anything that makes someone’s tummy hurt and you’re out. An example would be “every fact that contradicts this narrative is considered cult slop.” One can simply flag said comment as “disrespectful” or any number of bogus reasons and That’s that. It’s an echo chamber full of cat ladies and cry babies.

### 2/5 — app updates

*2026-08-21, version 6.213.1*

they not good anymore. when i joined all things free now its not

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Tried to get help. No answer

*2026-08-24*

I think for most people this app/website is great. I seem to be stuck in a loop of trying to contact thru the help centre. It has been weeks and weeks and I still can’t get verified. The link to the contact form within the help centre now doesn’t work. I just get an error page. I did manage to send the a request to get Verified when I first tried. Nothing, no response.
I am older and hate modern companies that have no human interface. I contact, I wait. I continue to wait. I try again and the link doesn’t work. So I wait again.

**Developer response:** Hi neighbor, we're sorry to hear you've been having trouble verifying your account. We'd like to help! When you have a moment, please get in touch with our team, here: https://nxdr.co/apps, or via X or Facebook DM @Nextdoor, and we'll take it from there. Thank you.

### 1/5 — Unfair

*2026-08-24, version 6.214.3*

If a moderator knows you and don’t like you they will hunt you and watch every thing you post suspend your account for 3 days or 2 years for anything they want, just got off a 3 days suspension and they wiped everything I posted for no good reason. Not a good thing to have your neighbors be a moderator

### 1/5 — Locking up

*2026-08-23, version 6.84.5*

Fix your app !!!!! Posts after posts of the same sponsor’s posts,10 sponsore posts to one member post , you ever is in charge of this app should be fired !!!! This app is a total waste of time and a huge joke!!!!

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

At some point it was a 5+.
We can no longer support or post our small local businesses. I loved next door and the support we had from each other and now we’re limited unless we create a business account and pay for it!

### 1/5 — Animal Abuse - Terrible Platform

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

There are people on the platform looking for cats and small animals. Unfortunately this is due to dog fighting and animal cruelty. You report the posts and nothing happens to these people. Very sad non community way to connect with people. Nothing but animal cruelty and sadness here.

### 1/5 — This is crazy

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

I’ve been using the Nextdoor app for a long time, but now they started the subscriptions that you have to get to even respond to somebody they want $327 a month for the subscription that is crazy just to respond and post not the apppp that’s is crazy and wild it’s that much or the subscription

### 1/5 — The guidelines

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

This app could be fun but if asking community questions is a problem then Nextdoor isn't a app people should want to participate in because you don't know forreal what you cannot do on here

### 1/5 — Absurd

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

I literally called a far left politician rich and I was asked if I wanted to rephrase it because it’s mean.

People on here bash Trump and Republicans but the only who get censored are Republicans.

I have been censored before for nothing. But your site says it’s problematic. U are literally making our country a communist country. U are biased. Republicans won in a landslide. Just think how much more traffic you would get if you didn’t censor. You’re leaving $ on the table to shill for commies.

### 1/5 — Locking up

*2026-08-22, version 6.84.5*

Fix your app !!!!!

### 1/5 — Defend the silencing of free speech.

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

This app bans people for defending themselves against racism and they seem to support fascism.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-23, version 6.214.3*

### 5/5 — Best neighbors around

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

I love this app

### 5/5 — I’m unclear & curious

*2026-08-22, version 6.214.3*

I was kicked off of Nextdoor and was sent community rules but I wasn’t told which rule I broke. I had no intention of doing so and I’m asking again if someone could please explain the reason.

### 5/5 — Free stuff being sold

*2026-08-20, version 6.213.1*

It seems that this community platform that’s was created for individuals to connect with and help each other in their community is constantly being used as an advertisement for either business and marketing under the category free stuff. If it’s free it should be free, not for sale or services for sale. There is a separate category for that information and interaction.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2026-08-19, version 6.213.1*

Merece un 10 de estrellas
