Last week it stop working for no reason. It’s saying network issues. Website not working anymore. Despite meticulously following the instructions I’ve been unable to track my vehicle. NextechGPS offers no support and I haven’t been able to resolve the issue with my tech friends. The poor ratings are here for a reason! ### 1/5 — Dreadful software *2021-07-12, version 1.0* Accompanied a NextechGPS OBD114/G/GPS Tracking Device. Although the setup procedure now makes sense, the poorly written instructions and functionality of the software made the task extremely complicated and difficult to execute. The Apple app does not function as described and has little use other than to map and locate the vehicle when the battery is charged or the vehicle is running, the battery discharges very quickly. I found the desktop version to work better but still lacking some important (to me) features. Although this is one of only a few devices that do not require a subscription fee, the software creates doubt with me of the quality of the hardware. Now that I have spent the money and invested my time sorting through the issues, I will persevere and try to find alternative software but will not be buying any more as I originally intended. My advice would be not to buy one and perhaps use an old mobile phone with find my iPhone installed which will give you the same, and faster, functionality as this package. ### 1/5 — Geofence not work *2021-04-27, version 1.0* I cant get alarm to play as a notification on iphone only works within app ...can anyone solve problem ### 1/5 — Nice unit, Rubbish software *2021-03-04, version 1.0* Unit installs well and works as expected. Software is extremely basic, missing features, written in part Asian. Some menu items don’t show correctly. But you can control , setup and use txt messages to do most things. If you only want to use app to view travel history on a map then that’s ok, not useful for anything else. ### 1/5 — Hard to use. Asian text. *2021-02-14, version 1.0* Lots of Asian writing in the app. Hard to use properly and hardly ever saves the movement vehicle history. I have never received a notification of my car moving. I have my doubts if it would even be useable if someone was to steal my vehicle. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No Support horrible experience *2023-12-19, version 1.0* We decided to run these in our trucks after few months installing about 3 times the website has gone down for days then account was deleted. Now everything is in check for now I don’t know how long. I’ve had other GPS units that work seamlessly. Save your money.
