### 1/5 — App never works

*2025-09-24*

This has to be the single most useless app I have ever seen. It never works, never notifies you if there is an outage (even if you have that option on), and any time you try to search for an outage, it doesn’t show anything, then all of a sudden five minutes later it changes to say there is an outage. Additionally, the app makes you login in every single time you use it as opposed to staying logged in. What is the point of an app over the website if I constantly have to log back in. Save your time and money, go with some other provider.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-06-26*

I wanted to love this app. But it doesn’t even load. I open it up and it sits on the home page loading for what feels like forever. Hopefully this gets fixed.

### 1/5 — Cant even pay bill

*2025-06-23*

I recently changed banks and Ive been trying to change my payment method but THERE IS NO OPTION TO DO SO! All I want to do is pay for my internet and I cant even do that without having to talk to someone over the phone. Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-05-18*

Doesn’t notify of outages even though those settings are put in place. Got better feedback with email in the past. Customer service has been worse than used to be and more outages are occurring. Stuck with them because of where I live. Don’t bother with the app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work?

*2025-03-04*

I don’t think this is the right one?

### 1/5 — Great service; garbage app

*2025-02-19*

Nextlink internet service is great, but the app is total garbage. I get no comms regarding outages, chat tells me to call customer service, and most of the time the home page doesn’t even load properly. Unfortunately, their website isn’t much better.

### 1/5 — Billy boy

*2024-05-07, version 1.0.4*

Got an email from Nextlink this morning promoting the benefits of the Nextlink Connect app. When I try to log in it says my email address doesn’t exist. Worthless.

### 1/5 — As others pointed out, app is worthless,

*2024-04-09, version 1.0.4*

I tried over and over to log in. Even went as far as resetting the password. But it doesn’t recognize either email addresses.

### 1/5 — Nothing much

*2024-03-13, version 1.0.4*

I don’t see much at all. Billing and that’s about it. Pass.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2024-02-12, version 1.0.4*

This app does not work. I have an account and an email I use for the account and it says I do not exist. The app shakes. And seems very unstable.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unable to Log In

*2026-06-06*

Nextlink website says that to register your account you have download the app and scroll down on the login screen, but there is no option. And there is no customer service support on Saturday.

### 1/5 — Can’t open the app

*2026-05-21*

User side script issue won’t let me use the app. Frustrating because the on hold message keeps telling me to use the app

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever

*2026-05-11*

Zero functionality. Cant click on anything. Checking for outages doesn’t work. Asking to chat doesn’t work. Submitting a ticket doesn’t work. The App simply doesn’t work. Fire whoever made it and hire someone to fix it!

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2026-05-11*

Got app because when I call in it says I can check outages. Had an outage yesterday and the app only shows a Google Maps address of my house. I already know where I live!
No mention of outages at all. Even as I zoom out it doesn’t show any outages anywhere, yet internet was down all day. 🤦
Back to calling in, I guess.

### 1/5 — Welcome to the app from 1986

*2026-05-03*

This is one of the more worthless apps on the market. For a “high tech” company this app seems like it’s from aol dial up in disguise. Do better

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2026-02-15*

What a pain to log in. You’d think a ISP could make an app. This is by far the worst app I’ve ever used. Once you survive the log in fiasco, the info on ‘status’ is worthless. So after hammering out a page of stuff - you’re able to submit a ticket. Incredible

### 1/5 — Not an update but a backdate

*2026-02-03*

The previous app worked great, could control router by rebooting, check speed tests etc. This new app is totally useless with no functionality. I have called several times and each they are working on it. It has been over a month and no fix. My 12 year old grandson would have fixed it in a week. I am deleting this app!

### 1/5 — Suck

*2026-01-09, version 1.1.7*

I can’t even access the app - it just says no internet connection. So it sucked from download. Don’t bother.

### 1/5 — Completely misleading images for this app listing!

*2025-12-30*

I received an alert from this app stating to update to its most recent version to ensure access to the newest app features. After checking, I saw that my app was already up to date yet absolutely nothing was different. I deleted the app and then reinstalled it and yet still nothing new in it. The images for the app ad are fake! There is no “speed test”, no internet status section….none of it. The images portray this app as a legitimate, well-designed app but unfortunately it is anything but. The app performs like a child created it. There’s zero effort put into it to make it useful for their customers. Even the “payment function” is a failure because it will tell you that once you process your payment that it didn’t go thru and yet EVERY single time, it has processed my payment just fine. If I had trusted the app and tried to get it to process it again, it would’ve taken two payments. Thankfully I checked my bank account instead so avoided the headache their app could’ve caused. If you’re looking for this app to make things easier to manage your account, don’t bother. It’s nothing more than a glorified pos (point of sale)station and not even a good one at that.

### 1/5 — Great service; garbage app

*2025-12-01*

Nextlink internet service is great, but the app is total garbage. I get no comms regarding outages, chat tells me to call customer service, and most of the time the home page doesn’t even load properly. Unfortunately, their website isn’t much better.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — App works fine

*2024-05-06, version 1.0.4*

You have to create a new user and password as they changed the site if you used to have a user and password. It has everything it says it has. The only error, and I emailed support, is on the My Services page, it shows your plan, and under that it shows your download speed, and, your download speed. Ooops. It SHOULD say upload speed for the lower number.

### 3/5 — Useless for Internet reports

*2026-02-03*

We’ve had very few incidents of connectivity loss with NextLink, over ten years of service - until this last year. Contacting has been difficult, so I hoped this app would help. Nope. First rattle out of the box was that the app would not connect using data. That’s right - no Internet and I can’t use the app.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2025-01-10, version 1.0.10*

First, based on all the negative reviews, after installing I made a point to look for opportunity to “Create Account” to use for the “app” rather than trying to use my internet login account info. I was able to connect with no problem, thanks to everyone else’s frustration. But that should be made part of an “initial use” workflow (presented screen would be fine POST-account creation, but not on first-time-use).

Second, I downloaded this app to see Network Status since I was in an outage. Well, it only shows MY network, not THE network (even when I’m using cellular data). So the app is useless for that purpose. Side note: The Network Outage map is not an actual outage map. It’s a Google map and will only display a text message based on the Google-identified address you select and is not a real-time visualization of the outage. Also, they must not have integration between their network monitoring systems and the so-called outage map. It appears to be response-based depending on how many outage tickets they’ve received from customers, because my internet had been offline for HOURS before the outage message finally appeared. (Prove me wrong, developers.)

Finally, and very important for anyone who DOES want text notifications, even though Nextlink knows my phone number and even though I approved notifications on setup, I had to manually go into settings for notifications WITHIN THE APP and turn on text notifications and enter my phone number. I get it that a text message notification is different from an app notification, but I want both. So that’s a head’s up to other customers should they bother to read this far.

### 2/5 — May 2026 -can’t pay bill

*2026-05-03*

The NextLink Connect is frustrating because you have to enter you email address to get to the login screen, then enter it again along with your password.
I attempted to pay my bill on May 3, 2026 and cannot get to the login screen. Restarted my phone, then uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no improvement.
The app is useless.
Hopefully, I’ll have better results trying to pay the bill on my PC.

### 2/5 — Log-in

*2026-03-24*

The app really stinks because you have to enter your email 2x just to log in. Easy fix Nextlink. Don’t be lazy.

### 2/5 — App isn’t good

*2025-12-28*

The app will constantly tell you incorrect information assuming you can even get far enough into it to view. Most of the time it won’t load your account. By some miracle it did you will be
told your Internet’s running when it’s not and vice versa. Do you ever have questions about your actual performance speeds Internet activity any of that don’t rely on the next link website don’t rely on the next linked app. Just call tech support. If it’s on the weekend you’re out of luck because you just won’t know. Even the automatic text messages they sent you will be wildly inaccurate. It’ll tell you oh there’s a service outage at like 2 AM and then your Internet will come back at 9 o’clock and then you get your services back up and running at like seven the next night very inaccurate very poor. Do not recommend even though they force you to download it.

### 2/5 — So buggy…

*2025-09-19*

Can’t delete users. No push alerts despite settings on. No way to track service tickets.

### 2/5 — No way to report issues

*2025-06-09*

Weather related outages are acknowledged, but theres no way to tell if or when your specific location will be back online. Might be hours. Might be days. You’re on your own to guess or try the hours long hold time on a phone.

### 2/5 — Home screen

*2024-10-15, version 1.0.10*

I cannot see the home screen on the app, i can only see my account information.

### 2/5 — We’re are all the options

*2024-02-13, version 1.0.4*

I have nothing but my home address and connection type no other information is shown ,, ohh wait I can change my billing type…. Like I said no other options other than that.
