## What is Nexum?

Nexum is the training system for college athletic programs — wellness, lifting, attendance, and team communication in one place, on the device your athletes already carry.

FOR ATHLETES
• Daily wellness check-in — sleep, energy, soreness, stress, mood — that rolls up into a single readiness score you can actually read at a glance.
• Your lift, card by card. Swipe through the session your coach programmed, log weight and reps, see what you lifted last time, and hit the rest timer without leaving the screen.
• Track body weight against your goal, with a target-weight meter for weight-class sports.
• Check in to practice by scanning the QR code your coach puts on the screen.
• See where you stand on team leaderboards for the lifts and tests your sport actually runs.
• Message your coaches and teammates, and never miss an announcement, event, or schedule change.

FOR COACHES
• One dashboard for the whole roster — who checked in, who's trending down, who set a PR, who needs a conversation today.
• Build lifting programs from a 300+ exercise library, assign them to the team or to position groups, and watch compliance and volume as the block runs.
• Record testing results in a spreadsheet-style grid built around your sport's battery — not a generic form.
• Take attendance with a QR code, or by hand.
• Post announcements, schedule events, and run opt-in sign-ups for camps, volunteer work, and player-led sessions.

BUILT FOR THE SPORT YOU COACH
Nexum adapts to football, basketball, wrestling, soccer, baseball, swimming, track & field, and cross country — position groups, weight classes, and the test battery each sport actually uses.

BUILT FOR STUDENT PRIVACY
Athlete health information is visible only to that athlete and their own team's staff, enforced in the database itself, not just in the app. You can delete your account and your personal data from inside the app at any time.

Nexum is built for collegiate athletic programs. A coach-issued invite code is required to join a team.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-24

New in 1.2

• A new way around the app. A floating bar at the bottom holds your five main tabs: athletes get Home, Calendar, To-do, Lift and Messages; coaches get Home, Calendar, Roster, Announce and Messages. Tap your photo for a side menu with everything else.
• The bell rings for new things. When something new lands in Notifications, the bell gives a short ring and a small bubble shows what it is. New items stay lit up until you leave.
• Pop-ups slide up from the bottom. Drag one down, tap the X or tap outside it to close it. Pages you open from a tab have a back arrow, and you can swipe from the left edge to go back.
• To-do for athletes. One tab lists everything waiting on you (the check-in, weigh-ins, surveys, events to answer, announcements) as Now, Today and Coming up.
• Choose your appearance. Pick a look the first time you open the app. Some looks unlock with a check-in streak, and the app shows you how many days to go.
• Home has its own scene. Your look's photo sits behind Home, lit by how ready you are today, and the morning check-in happens right over it, with new pictures for sleep, energy, water and how you feel.
• A new phone calendar. Swipe sideways three days at a time, tap the month to jump to any date, and open Events from its own button.
• Built for every sport. Swim, track, wrestling, soccer, basketball and more see their own words: meets, duals and matches, lineups, and times that read like clocks. Schools can have men's and women's teams of every NCAA sport, and teams that don't weigh in never see weight.
• A new coach Home. It opens with what's on today, then Jump back in: the things you open most, one tap away on your phone and your computer. Below that: Up next, Needs you, This week and Availability.
• For coaches, events your way. Choose for each event whether athletes are asked Yes/No and whether there is a QR check-in. Search groups the same event across the week, and the calendar can filter events.
• Presentations (Beta). Coaches build slides in Nexum, bring in PowerPoint, Keynote, PDF, Google Slides, spreadsheets, photos, screenshots and scanned pages, and add live wellness, attendance, lifts, events and QR codes. When your coach presents, Home asks if you want to join, and your phone follows along.
• For coaches, Present on the big screen. Put a special teams chart up one unit per slide, or weigh-ins, team wellness and leaderboards. Every board in Roster has its own Present button.
• For coaches, the player file. Tap an athlete anywhere to see status, readiness, training, testing, attendance and ways to reach them. Tap or hover a wellness bar to see every answer from that day.
• Lifts and PRs. Your PRs and new workouts show in Notifications, maxes read in whole pounds, and a faster sprint or swim now counts as a PR.
• Faces in Messages and on notifications. Chats show teammates' photos, and notifications show who they're from.
• Also new: glass cards throughout, named appearances with real pictures, special teams depth charts, groups that connect, supersets read 2A and 2B, you can leave a workout and pick up where you left off, and many smaller fixes.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-24

• Sign in with Face ID or Touch ID. Sign in once with your password and Nexum offers to use Face ID next time.
• Joining your team is quicker. Scan your team's QR code or open its link, confirm it's you, and set a password. No emailed code to wait for.
• Home shows the boards you're on, under "Your boards".
• Coaches: drag or tap names onto depth charts and boards, and manage any board from its ⋯ menu: publish, archive, restore or delete.
• Buttons stay above the keyboard while you type, and the sign-in screen is new and lighter.
• Notifications: Nexum asks when you first reach Home, tapping one opens the right chat, and signing out stops them on that phone.
• A workout you leave is kept until you finish it, and check-ins finished offline send once you're back online.
• Fixed: an unfinished sign-up no longer leaves a blank screen, signing in always lands on Home, and light appearances show their own background again.
• Plus fixes across the calendar, messages, announcements, attendance and weigh-ins.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-20

Weigh-ins, rebuilt around the scale.
Scan one code at the scale and Nexum works out whether it is your morning, pre-practice, post-practice or night weigh-in. Log it by dragging a ruler instead of typing. Your home screen now tells you when the next one is due and counts down the time you have left.

Coaches: the whole squad's weights on one sheet.
Every athlete down the side, every day across the top, and all four weigh-ins under each day. A cell turns green when someone moved toward their goal and red when they moved away. Pinch to zoom, filter by position, page back through weeks, export to CSV, and nudge whoever still owes you a number.

Messaging you will actually use.
Photos, typing indicators, reactions, replies, editing, deleting and @mentions — plus a message that appears the instant you tap Send. Share a practice or an announcement straight into a chat.

Notifications that arrive.
Push now reaches your phone properly, for messages, announcements, reactions and check-in reminders.

Announcements you cannot miss.
They arrive as a deck of cards you clear one at a time, so nothing important scrolls away unread.

Joining a team is simpler.
Your coach's roster is the door. If you are on it, you are in. If you are not, you wait in a lobby for your coach instead of being turned away.

Coaches can see who is out.
Injury and illness status now shows everywhere a name appears, and the training room can set it.

Also in this release:
- A missed check-in turns your streak to stone, with one chance to save it
- Custom groups, travel rosters and squad targeting for coaches
- Live game scores and watch links
- Sharing works properly on iPhone
- Screens no longer rebuild themselves every time you save
- Dozens of fixes to tap targets, keyboards, calendars and animations

### 1.1 — 2026-09-11

Pick your lifting time once, and it's yours all semester. Open a lift on the calendar, choose your time, and every screen shows you that time — not the earliest one. Change a single day without disturbing your standing pick. Coaches see a fill bar for each time and can place anyone who hasn't chosen.

Weigh the whole roster from one screen. Roster > Weigh-in. Type what the scale says next to each name and skip anyone you missed; typos are caught before you save. A weigh-in now records whether it was before practice, after practice, or at night, so an after-practice number no longer drags down the trend.

Depth charts. One board per unit — punt, kickoff, kick return, PAT. Name your own roles, press and hold a name to pick it up, and drag it into a ranked column. Top of the column is the starter, and players see the role, the rank, and their position.

Calendar fixes. An all-day event now reads "All day" instead of claiming to happen at midnight, and sits in its own row at the top of the week. A meeting posted without an end time no longer behaves as if it ran a full hour.

Also in this update: preview a survey before you send it; the team join code moved to Roster > Invite; athletic trainers can reach Settings and see team announcements again; sign-in and launch no longer fail on a phone set to block site data; bigger tap targets on testing sheets; and personal records round to one decimal.
