This app works when it wants to, I’ve had several situations where I’m trying to get on the bus and it just says NOTIFICATION. I have over $77 in my account and the bus drivers look at me like I’m crazy because your app isn’t working. Please fix this immediately!!

I cant even log into the app and it doesn’t even let me know why I just get a “Notification” notice that keeps popping up. I use this app to get to work and I gotta stand there embarrassed knowing I have money in my account but the app isn’t doing anything but loading. I’ve used the transit app and there NFTA Feature to buy my tickets bc this app is a let down.

It literally stops letting me load passes, login, and refresh about once every few month and I just have to wait for it to work again. All I’m told online by the NFTA website is to have cash in case, but that’s literally ridiculous, if I have money on my account I should be able to use it.

I’ve never left a review for an app before, but this one is so incredibly dysfunctional that I feel compelled to do so.  The app is constantly glitching—always in uniquely debilitating ways that make every attempt to ride the bus an uneasy game of convincing the bus driver that I do in fact have enough money loaded onto my account to ride the bus.  I finally decided to delete and reinstall the app to see if that might help things after three consecutive bus rides of complete inability to pay; this only made things worse.  Now, I’m entirely unable to sign into my account and have to turn to bringing dollar bills for each ride when I have $30 (seemingly wasted) on my MetGo account.  Who has dollar bills anymore?  Certainly not me.  I have to make a point of finding dollar bills each day now—all because this sad excuse for an app is hopelessly dysfunctional.  Frankly, I’m dumbstruck.  Just another instance of our city failing to seriously invest in public transit.

The absolute worst app I have ever used and I’m not exaggerating. Nothing about this app works the way it should. I have missed out on classes, I have missed shifts at work, do not trust this app to work when you need it to. Does the NFTA not care about working class people?

This has to be the worst app I’ve ever had to deal with. This morning, I tried to add funds to the app using a different debit card but it stopped working for me. I called Customer Service who couldn’t help. Eventually, I visited the bus station in downtown Buffalo. It took a while, but it appeared the employees finally got the app working after I opened up a new account. Later, as I boarded a bus, the app suddenly logged out. I wasn’t able to log back in.
Fortunately, the bus driver let me ride the bus, but it’s making me less inclined to use the NFTA network again!

If something’s wrong (login error, connectivity issues, etc.) you’ll only get a banner with the word “NOTIFICATION” and nothing else. Not what’s wrong, not what to do, just that SOMETHING didn’t work. I can now no longer access my account because my email “isn’t valid” to send my new password and at the same time “already in use” when I tried to just make a new account. That’s a full week of rides I just gave to this app… should have listened to the reviews and never downloaded it.

I get a bus pass every week on Sunday night for work.

This week I pay $25 for a bus pass I wake up today (Monday) and the app refuses to log me in or do anything really. A constant loading screen. I uninstall and install. I get in and it shows I have no bus pass but my bank was charged, now it won’t let me reload my account or use the tap and go. What is the deal???

Where do I begin? Main issues: Can’t connect already purchased physical metro card to the app. No Apple Pay/PayPal/ Google Pay option. Lags way too much. And constantly logging you out of the app—for what? 

Three security questions for what? It’s a metro card, not a checking account. I thought NYC was bad…Buffalo NFTA is worst!!

There are 2 types of transit apps. Premium, well built and programmed apps, and transit apps that are mid. This one is way worse than mid. Garbage. The UX is very cheap and poor, and transactions are not intuitive, sometimes double charging if not careful. The backend also is unreliable, returning Error Code 0 errors during peak hours. My advice if you only buy NFTA passes, use the Token Transit app instead.

The nfta is far from a great system but this app is the least accessible and biggest waste of funding I’ve ever experienced ,

You have a 1 in 1000 chance to be able to login only for it to request your login at every menu 

It does not accurately display funds on your account and if you’re a pal rider forget it the app refuses you because you’re travel entitlement is not adult.

Do better, this spits in the face of riders

I’m not sure if it’s too soon to be leaving this here review but your app should allow for off-line capabilities: being able to scan stored passes purchased to ride your public transportation.

Easy to load and tap and go when working. But I’ve had to reinstall it so many times to try and circumvent the different errors that pop up all the time. It’s a real nightmare. I’ve had to buy paper tickets lots of times when I just couldn’t get the app glitch to right itself.

Wish it worked better, when you remove a card you can’t add it back as a security feature. Terrible! Also the constant “Connection error” blocks the QR code, fix this please! Horrible design.
