## What is nGeneEngine?

nGeneEngine is a local-first toolkit for OCR, business cards, speech, translation, memos, camera utilities, unit conversion, color inspection, and Apple Watch workflows—without an app account or app-managed cloud storage.

Capture text from the camera, documents, or photos; review and edit results; translate when needed; and save useful content as structured memos. Optional add-ons are free feature toggles in Settings.

Business Card Book:
Enable the free Business Card Book add-on to scan Korean and English business cards in a guided fixed frame. Recognized names, companies, titles, phone numbers, emails, addresses, and websites are stored locally with the captured card image. Search and sort cards, expand a card for quick contact actions, edit details, classify phone numbers, add cards manually, or rescan stored images. Import card images or nGene archives, and export complete ZIP archives with card data, images, and recognition metadata through Files, AirDrop, or user-initiated email. Card Book is an in-app database and does not access or modify Apple Contacts.

Apple Watch:
View, create, edit, and delete memos on the paired Watch. Complications can show the latest memo title, a locally stored three-digit locker number, or active timer progress. The timer offers 1–10 minute selection, longer presets, and selectable vibration patterns. It provides local haptic reminders and does not create timer notification alerts.

Unit Conversion:
Convert recognized measurements over a live camera view. Select Automatic, Metric, US/UK, or Korean output; show or hide conversion overlays; and pause a stable frame. Supported groups include length, area, mass, temperature, volume, cooking, travel, motion, and technical units. Korean customary output includes 평 and 돈 where applicable.

Interpret:
Capture speech as readable segments while completed segments translate in the background. Copy results, send them to Memo, or export through the iOS Mail composer. Phrase Coach translates short phrases and may provide pronunciation guidance where available.

Color Inspector:
Review RGB, CMYK, Hex, Hue, luminance, saturation, CIE Lab, contrast, and color harmony suggestions. Readings may vary with lighting, exposure, white balance, reflection, and camera processing.

Privacy:
Scanned text, business card records and images, speech transcripts, dictation, memos, related images, and preferences are stored locally unless content is explicitly shared. Apple Watch synchronization is limited to paired user devices. Email export is user-initiated through the iOS Mail composer. No login, account creation, authentication, subscription account, or app-operated cloud account is included. Translation and AI-assisted features use supported Apple system capabilities where available; language resources may be managed by the system.
