## What is nGeneMediaPlayer?

nGeneMediaPlayer is a local audio and video player for waveform navigation, repeat practice, playlist organization, Apple Watch remote control, Watch Face current-media display, and educational signal analysis.

ICA Mixed Pair represents the practical objective that motivated much of the supporting import, synchronization, waveform, and comparison infrastructure. Only a limited group may require this workflow, but specialized work can make a meaningful contribution; the feature is therefore made publicly available.

The ICA workspaces and signal-analysis panels are intended for signal-processing education, listening practice, and research-oriented review. Cardiac-like and respiratory-like estimates are experimental acoustic interpretations, not clinical identification. The app does not provide medical diagnosis, clinical evaluation, treatment advice, or physiological decision-making.

The Mikio Tohyama study sections are independent educational reinterpretations of general waveform-analysis concepts associated with Waveform Analysis of Sound. They are not an official translation, quotation, or reproduction of the book.

Imported media and analysis results remain local on the device. No account, sign-in, server connection, or app-managed cloud synchronization is required.

Version 1.10 introduces ICA Mixed Pair, a practical research-oriented workflow for two nearly simultaneous electronic-stethoscope recordings acquired at two auscultation sites.

• Recognizes a pair only when exactly two files share the same YYMMDD_XXX filename prefix
• Estimates the recording-start offset and aligns the common interval
• Applies FastICA to produce two independent components
• Presents cautious cardiac-like and respiratory-like acoustic estimates

ICA Mixed Pair was a longstanding practical objective. Considerable import, synchronization, waveform, playback, and comparison infrastructure had to be established before the workflow could be offered responsibly.

The intended audience may be small and specialized. The feature is being released publicly in the hope that focused research, education, and signal-processing development may eventually make a meaningful contribution.

The results remain experimental acoustic estimates. They are not clinical source identification and do not provide diagnosis, clinical evaluation, treatment advice, or physiological decision-making.

The iOS development and distribution environment made this specialized work practical, and sincere appreciation is extended to Apple for enabling its public release.

### 1.9 — 2026-07-12

Version 1.9 introduces ICA+ and a clearer Control-versus-Experiment workflow.

• ICA Studio results now serve as the fixed Control
• Auto mode tests each ICA+ module separately and ranks all candidates
• The best waveform-changing Experiment is selected automatically
• Manual mode can activate multiple selected modules together as one combined Experiment
• Original Similarity Reports add source-level objective scores, SI-SDR, correlation, envelope, spectral-trough, APTM, CTSM, leakage, residual-error, and visual trace comparisons
• Signed score differences show how far an Experiment leads or trails Control
• Improved loading, computation progress, result emphasis, section separation, and iPad layout consistency
• Refactored ICA+ interface for easier maintenance and future expansion

### 1.8 — 2026-07-01

Version 1.8 adds Apple Watch and workflow refinements.

• Added a small Apple Watch Face current-media complication with title and compact waveform display when data is available.
• Added a Home setting to adjust Watch complication title scroll speed.
• Added a toolbar shortcut to return directly to the currently loaded player screen.
• Improved Apple Watch A–B loop editing and synchronization with the iPhone player.
• Updated Watch swipe gestures: one swipe seeks 5 seconds, two swipes seek 12 seconds, and three swipes change media.
