The daily challenges reward the same low amount of tickets no matter how difficult they are. The packs cost too many tickets for how hard they are to come by. Only play if you want to pay. ### 2/5 — Really close to uninstalling.... *2019-05-24, version 1.45* Matchmaking is consistently bad, I constantly face teams with 1100 or more cups 3-4 leagues up from my lowly 400 cup team. It's like a high school team facing an NHL team. Also the bad reviews are correct, the die rolls for the player are awful. I used a spreadsheet on the computer to log my rolls versus the AI. You have 3 outcomes X, a puck, and a flaming puck, which garners a free roll. The odds should be roughly 33% for any of the 3, no more like 55% it's an X...FAIL. Maybe 25 for a puck, and 20 for a flame puck if you're lucky. Oh and then there's the Playoff Finals Sale, all figure packs were 50% off. Nope someone is really bad at math. The low end pack was 75 tickets, now it's 150. The logos were 75 now they're 150 as well. And the premium 3X packs for current and last season still sit at 450 tickets. Also support doesn't respond to tickets submitted from the game via email.... Just a money grab targeted at NHL fans.... ### 4/5 — Fun way to kill time *2019-04-03, version 1.40* I really like this game. It’s a quick game here and there when you have a moment to play. If you’re patient and willing to take some lumps, you can eventually build a decent team. However, those people that are spending money are the ones doing the most winning. Either they’re buying the actual figures or spending on in app tickets for packs. It can be frustrating when you’re struggling to put together a decent team and you come up against a player with multiple rares and uncommon players. I can’t even count how many times I’ve gone against a “rare” Patrick Laine. Other than that, I still enjoy the game from time to time. ### 2/5 — Just get Patrik Laine and you’ll never lose. *2019-03-09, version 1.35* Seriously if you have Laine in this game you’ll score 90% of the time it’s pretty dumb. ### 2/5 — Not fair *2018-05-13, version 1.23* If you want a good team then you have to spend money on the game ### 2/5 — FOR REAL *2017-04-20, version 1.08* I got this game because I thought it would be good and after a few days of playing I reliaezed that it was. EXEPT the other day playing it I got a trade and with the money from the achievement for the trade I was going to buy a new figure. Then I shut of my phone (after collecting the tickets) and the re open the app and boo the tickets are gone along with the achievement in general. FIX THIS! ### 3/5 — Fun and addicting when it works *2017-03-01, version 1.05* Fun and addicting game, when it works. It seems like only about one out of every 10 games is against a real person and those games usually freeze. This would not be a big deal if it didn't cause you to lose 30 to 55 cups every time it happened. This is frustrating because each time you win against a lower ranked opponent, you get 5 cups. When you lose, you lose 55 cups. Therefore, you are put in a position where you have to win 11 games in a row just to get back to where you were. Support is very graceful in helping to resolve the cup losses from freezes but you can no longer access support within the app without it crashing the app. Irony. ### 2/5 — Solid game but *2017-01-16, version 1.02* Game hangs up way too often. Three plus minutes left and the game sits there and you lose 1-0 because the game stops after the face off. Incredibly frustrating and ruins what could be a great experience. Combines trading cards with figurines. Only one problem which is that after 3 days almost all of my trophies just disappeared. Waste of time ### 1/5 — Company Does Nothing Regarding Dishonest Cheaters *2019-07-19, version 1.46* The game itself is fun. In fact, if you are an NHL fan and enjoy playing a fun game to waste some time, this app is cool. Here is the problem; there are users that have found a method to cheat during game play. Now, if you have read some of the reviews about rankings and scoring, they are 100% true. The scoring is not balanced, so when you are a high ranking player, if you lose the penalty is 50 cups, requiring you to win 10 matches in a row to get back to where you started prior to losing. Ridiculous. Back to cheating. There is a user who constantly ranks #1 who has found a method of freezing game play while the game clock continues to run. What this does is allows the player to either a. Get a lead and then not allow you the opportunity to play and possibly win b. Not allow any turns to take place and the match ends in a tie or c. Never allow the match to start. Essentially, this user never loses and thus never goes down in ranking. Having brought this up many times to the company that manages the game, the only response I have been given is a generic “we taking cheating serious, we are looking into it”. And to no surprise nothing is done, the user still plays each month, and more and more users have grown fed up with the cheating (look at the team names of users in The ranking). When feedback says that the game is rigged that is a true statement. The probability for some of the outcomes is astronomical and when brought to the attention of the company they give that standard “all games require some luck”. Do yourself a favor; avoid the game. It is a rip off, it is rigged, it will piss you off, and the manufacturer does not value customer satisfaction or the integrity of their product. I am referring to PAYING customers. I would have given zero stars but it does not allow less than 1. ### 1/5 — Such crap *2019-03-02, version 1.35* The game isn’t fair, and complete garbage match making. You’ll play someone 5 leagues ahead of you. There is no way to get decent players without paying money. I would give it 0 stars if it let me! ### 1/5 — Junk *2018-08-27, version 1.25* This game is pathetic and the NHL should be ashamed it is associated with it. The play is slow and stilted and accumulating tickets is tedious. When you do open a pack, it is mostly weak players. Also, why can you draw opponents from higher skill levels who you will generally just lose? And the dice rolls? Initially, I thought it was bad luck, but anybody with a passing knowledge of statistics and probability can tell it isn’t random. Rubbish. ### 1/5 — RIGGED *2018-07-25, version 1.24* I sound like a sore loser but I got All x when my “Opponent” gets all the pucks and extra rolls and he scores fun but RIGGED ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time! *2018-06-28, version 1.24* Game concept is good, but lots of issue. Main issues are 1) Trading-You have to have a player who n your wishlist of one you want and a player must want it. So no one ever trades any good player cause you may not get a player that you want or never get a trade. It needs a auction where players can buy, sell, and trade like on NHL 18. 2) Dice system- it’s not terrible, but not good. You can get a player that has 7 slots against a player with 3 slots and lose over and over against them. It makes you feel like since you didn’t spend any money and worked to get your guys, the Devs won’t let you get ahead to place in their 1 event! Which would not be bad if you could bet what you wanna lose. 3)The way trophies are giving- Example I have 1300 trophies in league 3 if I get a match against a lower person (which you will 80% of the time) say that player has 800 or below trophies. If he wins I lose 45-55 trophies and if I win I get 5-15! How is that fair? 4) Only 1 Event that lasts 30 days! Which only the top 20 will get anything, out of 1000’s of players, they don’t even say what you will win, if anything! Come on have more events that ppl can play and feel like they can win! Which takes me back too #2! Can you say Money to win Something????? ### 1/5 — This is garbage *2018-05-04, version 1.23* Fun. When it works. Die rolls are all over the place. When it works you lose. When it works it doesnt. Have to pay lots of money to get more players because the normal grinding way doesn’t work. Why? Because it always crashes. And you can get anybody.this is a great game for hockey fans like me. ### 5/5 — Great game but glitchy *2020-08-19, version 1.51* Very fun game for NHL fans who are involved with the league. However I’ve been having issues connecting to games where it just kicks me out. I’ve collected more than half of the figures and have spent much time playing it and I can’t play vs people anymore. It’s like a true to life miniatures game you can take in the go with you. My only main issue with it is the formatting of many of the different screens in the game. It feels like this game is optimized only for tablet and makes it very hard to use on the phone but still works. I’m happy to report that this game is also not pay to win. I’ve been doing a lot of very good trades using the few pieces I got after the tutorial and trading helps to increase your premium currently to get more pieces which in turn gets your more achievements they result in more currency. Devs: Please keep it up and hopefully you get the phone version cleaned up some more so I can spend some money. :) ### 5/5 — A board game adapted for the cloud *2018-12-15, version 1.32* Inventive, but somewhat limited.
