Let me count the ways… *2022-09-14* How thee crashes and crashes and crashes yet again. Verily thy ad about streaming support doth play far too oft and for too long. Frequently have I deleted and reinstalled the post a persistent crash from which it doth refuse to recover. ### 4/5 — Useful! *2022-08-09* I use the NHPR app while traveling so I don’t have to search out other NPR stations. Sometimes several times a day! This is especially frustrating if there is something I want to catch right away or continue after listening in the car. For NPR news programs, I often have to listen to maine public because it is more accessible! I live in Durham and contribute monthly to nhpr. I have recently become frustrated because the app doesn’t load the feed right away. I have to tap 40-50 times before the news comes on. I am a sustaining member and I hope you are able to fix this and to stop the random cutoffs as well. Used to listen in the car daily but I don’t commute anymore so the app keeps me in touch around the house when played through Bluetooth system. App also allows us to listen to NHPR when taking long trips, no more channel surfing on the radio every 50 miles of highway driving. I don’t know if they haven’t kept this app up to date or what is going on. It no longer works on car play nor streaming on my phone. I have deleted and reinstalled and no success. ### 1/5 — NPR is great; the app needs work *2020-08-03* I just started having a problem with the sponsor ad at the beginning of the stream repeating over and over. If I wasn’t having that problem, I would give this 3 stars. The app takes too long to load. Also, the audio stream is constantly stopping to buffer. Unfortunately, I live in an area with three stations all within an hour of my home, but we can’t get NHPR on either our car or home stereo. So I turn to the app. It had been working fine, until a few months ago. It hesitates to load the feed, it often cuts out for no reason, and it restarts the feed randomly. But the most annoying part is that it will loop anywhere from 2 to 5 seconds, constantly. Just now I heard about three seconds of This American Life five times before deleting (and reinstalling) the app out of frustration. Now it won’t load at all, just cycles from 0 to 93% and back down again. C’mon guys, you’re forcing me to listen to VPR, and I can’t stand that station. Not good ### 2/5 — App needs work *2020-04-30* Hi - I am a sustaining member and I listen constantly but the only time I use the app is during the pledge drive so I can access the pledge-free stream. The visual is too busy. The articles aren’t easily scanned in the snapshot format. There should be a way to see text headlines without having to scroll both up and down as well as side to side. It’s too hard to figure out how to listen to the live stream. Also, the podcasts aren’t why people are on your app, so they should not be first up. ### 2/5 — Should be better. *2020-04-07* The primary function of this app is to stream NHPR to people without an over-the-air signal and it fulfills that poorly. The feed drops frequently, or loops, or just won’t load without first logging out, quitting, or sometimes reinstalling. And this has been true for years.
