### 2/5 — Early targets too hard to meet

*2026-07-31, version 4.3.0*

This is a helpful app but is very basic and could be much more motivating ie the drink free day badges - first one is 1 day no drinking, next badge is 10 days no drinking. For someone used to drinking most days for years, 10 days is a very long way away - why not add 3 / 5 / 7 days ? Simple changes would make this app much better

### 3/5 — Week reset

*2026-06-15, version 4.3.0*

I’ve been using this app
Since October I was at 29
Weeks but now it’s saying my
Streak now is 5 weeks but I haven’t drank… can someone help?

### 4/5 — Easy yet Powerful

*2026-06-06, version 4.3.0*

Pretty easy to use this despite the app now wanting to know what you’ve drunk, as opposed to simply whether you have or not.

I’ve been using it years yet only today discovered the page that lists everything you’ve drunk per month. I found that quite a shock as average 2 to 3 days a week when I drink so consider that moderate to many in my family but see that total consumed in a month was a surprise!

I set myself the usually easy target of three booze free days a week. I’ve managed over forty weeks which on occasion has been a challenge (Christmas/Nee Year) but having that unbroken run forced me to not drink on at least a couple of days I actually wanted to.

Love to be able to get an at a glance look at how I’ve done this month vs last etc

It’s a very powerful tool and thankfully completely free.

My only criticism is you can’t edit the estimated costs for alcohol so it will tell me for pint cans of larger cost me £17 when I know I paid £8. Getting this editable and therefore more accurate would be really help convey the total expense associated with drinking (albeit soft drinks aren’t free either).

### 4/5 — Badges

*2026-05-16, version 4.3.0*

I have been using the app for over a year and found it really helps my motivation, gaining the badges has been an additional boost. Please can more badges be added as currently they only go up to 1 year.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2026-05-12, version 4.3.0*

The pricing of drinks seems to be stuck in about 1988, but other than that, it’s fairly useful. The two slight niggles: I get reminded to complete the diary on days when I have already completed the diary; and there doesn’t seem to be a way I can see previous days entries other than drink/no drink.

Other than that, it’s a handy way of keeping track.

### 4/5 — Useful - but fails in key places…

*2026-05-11, version 4.3.0*

It’s super useful to track alcohol consumption, but why does it not give the option to answer a key question for anyone “How much have I drunk over the last X days?”. It has the data but doesn’t allow it to be analysed. 6 drinking days a month at a glass per time is very different to a bottle each time.
Secondly, the “Your Drinking Data” is just plain wrong. It says I drink 11 pints a week… I haven’t had a beer in 6 months, and drink once a fortnight… so how do I drink more than 80% of males?

### 3/5 — Could do better

*2026-05-07, version 4.3.0*

Simple to use which is good. Could do better with default drinks, I’ve literally never seen any wine at 6%. Also the cost savings are hilarious. £9 it recons for two large wines and a bottle of wine 😂 you can’t set any drinks prices. Says from averages in 2021 so very out of date.

### 3/5 — Has glitches

*2026-03-12, version 4.2.1*

It’s good for personal tracking and accountability but I have 52 drink free days since starting in January but the count tells me 35, so for some reason it doesn’t count properly which is annoying.

### 4/5 — Week tracking

*2026-03-09, version 4.2.1*

Why does my app show 5 weeks consecutive instead of the 3 months it should show. I am set on 4 drink free days a week. I have not missed a day since I started beginning of December. Some weeks I do 5 days drink free?

### 3/5 — Days Out of Sync

*2026-02-18, version 4.2.1*

Generally happy with the app, but the days keep getting out of sync. For example, last week both Monday and Tuesday were showing as 9 Feb and when I selected Sunday it updated Monday. Is this a known bug and if so are there plans to fix it?

### 2/5 — Tries hard to paint you as an alcoholic

*2026-02-03, version 4.2.1*

I downloaded the app to better track my alcohol intake and motivate me to do a proper post-Christmas detox. I’m not a massive drinker - I have a very healthy diet and active lifestyle - but boy did this app tried to paint me as a raging alcoholic! For starts, the drink-free week is seemingly counted from Monday to Sunday only, so if you started your journey mid-week, went 14 days without a drink but then had a drink on day 15 (let’s say, Thursday), the app will claim you only managed one week without a drink. Secondly, god forbid you had a glass of wine with a meal three days in a row like I did, when I went to an overseas conference! The app then proceeded to claim I drank 90% more than most people my age! On day 4, the app congratulated me from abstaining - as if I had necked a bottle of vodka each day and couldn’t help myself…After a month, despite having 26 alcohol free days, the app suggested I had eaten an enormous amount of chocolate in my alcho units and that I should probably try harder... In conclusion, I can’t help to think that this app’s main aim is to shame every drinker into total sobriety. For this reason, I would recommend this app only to those, who likely have a real problematic relationship with alcohol.

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2026-01-17, version 4.2.0*

Needs more percentages adding , for instance 4.6 for Stella

### 4/5 — Include units

*2026-01-16, version 4.2.0*

I think the app is great and certainly encourages to adhere to drink free days. However, it would be most useful if there was a record of how many units had been drunk. All the underlying data is there and I can’t think why it’s not shown. Good to be able to check that 14 units per week is not exceeded.

### 3/5 — Money saved is way off

*2026-01-15, version 4.2.0*

General function of app is ok, but clicking through from a notification doesn’t always work.
The prices of drinks are so far from reality it’s crazy though! Pints in the southeast are £5 to £8, glass of wine £9+. Don’t think this app was even invented when a pint was £2 as it says in the FAQ 😂

### 4/5 — Money saved way off

*2026-01-11, version 4.2.0*

Seems like an ok app but I put I drink 10 cans of 440ml larger and it seems to think I’ve saved 33 quid in one day! Between 10-14 quid

### 3/5 — Good but could be better

*2026-01-11, version 4.2.0*

I would really like more ticker tape/glitter celebration for an alcohol free day. The current ticker tape is a bit lame. Also I would like more difference between the alcohol days and alcohol-free days…..maybe different block colours rather than the same outline circle with only a different of a tiny icon of a star or glass. I want to see my progress at a glance.

### 2/5 — No longer a fan

*2026-01-04, version 4.2.0*

I was a big fan of this app. With one tap you could log a drink free day. Now you tap a date and have to select if you’ve had a drink or not. Also the star used to cover the full date so it was easy to see if you’d had a drink free day. The star is now smaller and harder to spot - especially when you need reading glasses.
Hate the update so much, that after years of using, I’ve now switched apps.

### 3/5 — Was good, now not really working

*2026-01-04, version 4.2.0*

This was great at the start to help men monitor my drinking habits. Since going away and coming back into a different time zone tha app is all over the place. Dates wrong, won’t load when I click to say I haven’t had a drink. I do t want to reset as I’ll lose all my Data

### 3/5 — I wish I was saving that much

*2026-01-01, version 4.2.0*

Average money saved daily is totally inaccurate. I bottle of wine from a supermarket is on average under £10 but I’m so now saving £100s a week. Would be good to add a feature to set prices we would normally spend so the saving calculator is correct

### 3/5 — The days are out of sync

*2026-01-01, version 4.2.0*

Been using the app for a few years now but recently in 2025 the days lost sync and dates were one day over so unable to track correctly. I have deleted the old app and have tried to set up a new one with no success. Is there a way I can resent for. 2026 to be correct.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Flaky

*2026-05-18, version 4.3.0*

Not intuitive to use and it can’t match days with dates - it’s a day out of sync. Also too much finger wagging-like a temperance fanatic.

### 1/5 — Can’t edit

*2026-02-28, version 4.2.1*

Made an error, tried to correct this, ended up supposedly drinking 3 times the amount I would normally drink

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2026-02-04, version 4.2.1*

Sends info to your doctor do not trust it

### 1/5 — WHY CHANGE???

*2026-01-25, version 4.2.0*

Why change the gold star to a star you cant see? Renders the app pointless to me. I want to see clearly when I haven’t drank. Now I need to squint at the screen and try to see. FYI I have good eyesight! Your designer has lost their mind!!! PLEASE CHANGE BACK.

### 1/5 — Only the NHS could build an app this bad

*2026-01-13, version 4.2.0*

App crashed immediately on opening. Half the screens have nothing on them, there’s still lorem ipsum (ie holding text that’s supposed to be replaced with actual words during the design process), the app is only half built and barely functions. Good idea but terrible app.

### 1/5 — Terrible update

*2025-12-28, version 4.2.0*

I don’t have time to select “no I didn’t have a drink on this day” every single day when I do them in bulk.

### 1/5 — Too much

*2025-10-21, version 4.0.0*

Was better when a day was either drank or drink free. Now it wants you to fill in a bunch of detail. Has copied every other app. The simplicity was the beauty.

### 1/5 — DONT USE, CALCULATION IS WRONG!!!!!!!

*2025-09-22, version 4.0.0*

DONT USE, CALCULATION IS WRONG!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Notification spam

*2025-09-17, version 3.2.2*

There is absolutely no need whatsoever to ask me 3 times per day if I’ve had a drink free day especially when I’ve already logged I haven’t drank why on earth are you asking me again? You have literally angered me so much it’s drive me to drink, can not express how stupid this app is

### 1/5 — Dissapointing

*2025-09-09, version 3.2.2*

The app doesn’t add up properly, I have done 177 days consecutively. It now says my longest is 1 week and my current is 1 week. I have done 25 weeks and two days consecutively. Just about to hit 6 months. Disappointing and demoralising. Also I don’t need a reminder not to drink, that makes you think about drinking

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great help

*2026-08-11, version 4.3.0*

This has been a life saver for me! Love that it gives calories and savings. I’m a sucker for a sticker so loved getting a new one to mark a milestone. Was guttered it only went to one year.

### 5/5 — On track

*2026-07-09, version 4.3.0*

Keeps you on track
+++++++++++

### 5/5 — Drink App

*2025-12-07, version 4.1.0*

Good App and keeps you aware on how much your drinking

### 5/5 — Quit drinking

*2025-11-14, version 4.1.0*

That app really good help me keep tracking date no drinking day! So I hope you may create British sign language video or on the side of screen because I am deaf my first language is BSL so lots of deaf people far behind to make health go down quickly! I hope can you help?

### 5/5 — Cut down

*2025-11-13, version 4.1.0*

Gives me some incentive to cut back on drinking

### 5/5 — How is this going

*2025-11-05, version 4.0.0*

At 72 years of age I am only a beginner at this. My reasons were fourfold in travelling this road. These were 1. Fitness, 2. Finance, 3. Family considerations and 4. Control of my life.

What I mean by these headings is as follows:
1. I have been an extremely fit person all my life and I suddenly realised my fitness had decreased immeasurably and this was clearly associated with a significant increase in drinking and corresponding inertia.
2. I found my finances had changed from a healthy state to one where financial surprises were potentially causing problems. I was counting the pennies towards the end of each month.
3. It was clear my partners health and fitness were suffering as a result of her over consumption of alcohol. I wanted to lead by example.
4. I realised that drinking, 5:30pm and we began with a trip to the pub and then wine back at home, or just a bottle of wine and a couple of whiskies at home, that drink was running my life rather than me running my life.

How is it going. Brilliantly at the moment. I am a few weeks in and I began with 4 days in a week without, followed by 3 weeks with only 1 day a week having a drink and last week and so far this week zero drink.

I have found that for me, the App is much improved with the addition of logging one’s consumption each day, rather than stating only that you had had or not had a drink. This logging helped enormously and reinforced how much, and how much money was literally going down the drain.

With little or no drink I am running (very slowly) a few miles most days, sleeping better and enjoying myself more if I go to the pub and have a 00 Peroni of 2. All in all I am delighted. My partner had half a bottle of wine the other day, a vast reduction, and none yesterday. I hope this will continue for both of us.

### 5/5 — On track

*2025-10-28, version 4.0.0*

Simply answering no drinks today makes me proud

### 5/5 — V Helpful

*2025-10-02, version 4.0.0*

Early days or should I say weeks this has helped be at least mindful of how much I am drinking. App itself works well no glitches

### 4/5 — A great help to keeping motivated

*2026-06-29, version 4.3.0*

Whilst I would not describe myself as a problem drinker I certainly was aware that I was regularly drinking far more units per week than I should.

I found this app strikes the right balance between supportive and preachy. Perhaps the most useful part to keeping me on track was the gamification element of earning badges and getting that little confetti animation every time I crossed off another day - I’m approaching day 100.

If I were asked as to what improvements you could make I’d add more milestone badges as they become further apart as you progress I’d also add some different animations for daily progress, to keep the interest going.
