## What is Nicotine Tracker?

Track blood nicotine levels in real time, whether you're a heavy user, cutting back, or working toward cessation.
NicTracker estimates how much nicotine is in your bloodstream using a pharmacokinetic model. The app calculates absorption and clearance based on the product you log, your body weight, and your personal metabolism settings, then updates a live gauge as the level rises and falls throughout the day.
The following product types are each modeled with their own release and absorption curve:

Cigarettes and cigars
Vapes and hookah
Nicotine pouches (Zyn, Velo, and other brands)
Snus, gum, lozenges, and patches

Reducing your intake or moving toward smoking or tobacco cessation starts with seeing the pattern behind it. The Insights tab (one-time purchase) analyzes your logged data for usage trends, recovery scoring between doses, and a circadian breakdown of when cravings tend to hit. The Home screen spacing timer helps you space out use and build toward a new habit, one interval at a time.
Other things NicTracker does:

Logs a dose in under ten seconds, with retroactive entry if you forget to log in the moment
Shows a full-day blood curve chart with a forward projection of expected clearance
Tracks total intake and product use across daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views in the History tab
Adds Home Screen widgets for daily use, a 6-hour forecast, and your current blood nicotine level
Exports your logged data and blood curve as a PDF or CSV for any date range

All calculations run on-device. No data is transmitted externally.
NicTracker is an informational self-monitoring tool. It does not diagnose nicotine addiction or provide medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a detox program or clinical support.
Download NicTracker and log your first dose in under ten seconds.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-19

What's new:
- A streak counter now sits at the top of the Home screen and counts the days in a row you have logged. Clean days count as well, so you can mark a day with no use and keep your streak going. A reminder arrives half an hour before a streak is due to end.
- The blood curve can now be viewed over 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours. Each view stays centered on the current moment, showing you the hours behind and the hours ahead, and it shifts along as time passes. You can drag backwards through the past week to revisit earlier curves, and a button brings you back to now.
- Insights has two new cards. One explains why your use changed from last week to this one, showing whether you are using more often or taking more per use. The other shows the blood nicotine level you carry into each day before your first use.
- Managing your saved products is now simpler. Editing and deleting are handled in the Log tab through a new selection mode, and the older long-press menu has been removed.
- Saved products are no longer shown in Settings, since everything you need to manage them now lives in the Log tab.
- Several bugs were fixed and the app runs more smoothly.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-12

What's new:
- The interface has been refreshed across both light and dark mode, with a cleaner, more consistent look throughout the app.
- Blood nicotine estimation is now more accurate. The pouch model in particular was reworked so the level rises to its peak at a more realistic pace, around 45 to 60 minutes, and the estimated concentrations better reflect published measurements across different pouch strengths.
- Several bugs were fixed and general quality was improved for a smoother, more reliable experience.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-06

What's new:
- The Home screen has a new spacing timer. Set an interval to space out your use, follow the countdown on the Home screen, and get a notification when the interval passes.
- Nicotine pouches now use their own nicotine release parameters, which improves the accuracy of your estimated blood nicotine level. We advise you to update your presets and set the parameters to get accurate estimations.
- You can now export your logged data as a PDF or CSV for the period you choose: today, the past 7 days, the past 30 days, the past year, all time, or a custom range. Each export includes your usage from that period and a blood nicotine chart.
- The Curve tab has a new heatmap that shows your daily blood nicotine across the past year. Tap any day to see what you logged.
- Fixed product labels and several other bugs.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-07-01

- Pipes are now added to the product logging menu
- Changed product logging names

### 1.0.2 — 2026-06-28

- Improved real-time performance and stability
- Fixed various bugs and improved the performance of the app
