Must calculate the percentage of calories from protein/carbs/lipids independently in order monitor adequate ratios ### 3/5 — Useful App *2012-05-05* This app is okay for it's beginning stage. It would be better if the lipids just like the feeds were calculated separately from the TPN since they have to be deducted anyway...The end calculations by the program causes the GIR cal to be skewed.....if the lipids are not included, then the GIR cal is correct. I can see how it would save a great deal of time in a very busy NICU/PICU setting. As a Registered Dietitian, it has saved me a lot of time and accuracy. Easy to use and conveniently packaged (smart phone). Most infant formulas available as well as capability to add customized formulas. Great interface between TPN and formulas. Support readily available. It calculates micronutrient sufficiency as well. You can even customize it to your babies mix of formula contents.
