But I’m writing this review to hopefully get the developers’ attention, as for a while now there’s an issue in the app that has severely degraded its usability. What we use Nifty for probably the most out of anything, especially on a day to day basis, is documents & knowledge storage that we can easily find and refer back to. But for months now (possibly with the rollout of upgraded docs on desktop?), there’s a big issue when we try to access Nifty docs on mobile. It will show the contents of the first/primary page, but all of the other pages on the Nifty doc show up empty when navigating on mobile. This makes important information impossible to find on the go and I really hope this gets fixed soon. With the desktop app constantly being updated, I would hope and think that the mobile app gets equally maintained as well. Thank you! ### 3/5 — Need screen persistence - Remember app state *2024-07-31, version 4.22.1* There is a lot of good to say about this app, and a handful of things that are not ideal but our manageable. BUT... there's a glaring issue that I'm finally taking the time to share and hopefully the team sees this and takes quick action... Whenever I load the app it will take me back to the dashboard screen and I have to swipe over to find my project tap my project and then tap the tasks that I want to get into, so I'm a few swipes and taps before I even get into the work I need to address. I feel like this is the biggest oversight… There should be a toggle or option or the app remembers your last screen and when you load the app it goes back to your previous location. Unless I'm missing something in this feature is already available. And another user mentioned another big issue in the mobile app which is that it's not possible to drag and drop a task or card, from one Kanban column to another! That's the whole point of a Kanban view for status management. ### 4/5 — Need optimizations *2024-06-14, version 4.21.0* Here and there small bugs. When i click on any task to tag them they don’t show up. ### 3/5 — Not a good start *2024-06-13, version 4.21.0* This is a changing review… at first I expressed disappointment that critical field entry was disallowed. I rated at 1 star and sent a message. In less than a day they responded and we are isolating the issue. This is the kind of response you want from such an app. I will update again if they follow thru. Here is the ORIGINAL rating…. Just tried for first time on iPhone. Login with Google account. Says I need a workspace but after focus on name or workspace field happens, app won’t accept any input in fields. Have to force close. ### 3/5 — Needs drag ‘n’ drop for Kanban *2023-12-11* Overall the app is great. It’s functional and has almost all of the same functionality as the web or MacOS app. They do have a Kanban view in the mobile app but it does not allow dragging and dropping a “card” or task, from one column to another. If your columns are Lists, or Statuses… you can’t drag and drop a task from one column to another. This is the most rudimentary functionality that needs to exist, for folks who use a Kanban tool. Nifty mobile does allow dragging and dropping, but only within the list or status where the task currently resides. ### 4/5 — Free Plan is GREAT for College Students *2023-02-17, version 4.16.2* I’m giving this a solid 4 stars because of their free plan. It is likely the best free plan of any task manager and is perfect if you are a college student or generally need a quick way to organize things for yourself (and occasionally others). The only thing that keeps me from giving it the fifth star is it lacks the ability to sort tasks in the project view. ### 5/5 — Asana + Slack…..Potentially *2022-09-18, version 4.15.3* This is a awesome team collaboration app, have been using it with my team for the past week & we absolutely love it! Have completely replaced the need for switching between asana & slack. Customer experience is also TOP TIER ### 5/5 — Amazing Task and Project Management tool *2021-01-04, version 4.4.5* This product does a great job of helping me stay on task and keep track of current and past projects. I work as an Energy Manager for a school system and when I have to stay organized and keep track of what’s going on at about 30 different locations, this tool helps a ton. My favorite features are task reminder notifications and being able to time how long it takes to perform each task right from the mobile app. ### 5/5 — Intuitive & efficient *2020-10-27, version 4.3.0* Great PM app which support multiple platforms like windows app, webapp, mobile and their built-in file reader is extremely helpful for collaborating teamwork too. Something we wish to see in next update: - Folder function for file manager to help improve files organizing and management. Currently it is somewhat cumbersome to have all files show up like that - Ability to define the storage limit per member / guest user - Dedicated dark mode button on mobile (similar to desktop) which allow us to switch to dark mode manually instead of depends on ios display setting. - Vote or poll feature (similar to Trello) for Task / subtask - Custom domain CNAME which allow us to use our own domain for Nifty webapp ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all *2025-11-14, version 4.29.0* This app locks up immediately upon sign in and has to be forced closed. Sometimes it won’t let me do something but it won’t tell me what I’ve done wrong, when I do forget it out, the wheel just keeps spinning and it does nothing while I sit and stare at it. Life is too short to waste on tech this bad. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2023-12-17, version 4.19.3* Wanted to try this app but both Google and Apple log in options appear to be not functioning. Either option just asks for the login info (you have to enter it twice each time) and the just goes back to the login screen and never actually logs in. Disappointed. ### 1/5 — Mostly Non Functional *2023-07-12, version 4.18.0* I signed into the app to find that most functions are not working correctly, or at all. For example the overview page is completely blank, the tasks pane shows none of the tasks that are in my cue, it does show the projects however all the information is quite literally blank. They don’t even have a functional search. Not sure how anyone can compare this to Trello or Clickup, this is a subpar, amateur product. The chats are impossible to use properly. The program is unstable on desktop. ### 2/5 — Good but lots of bugs *2025-01-01, version 4.25.0* Unable to complete any edits to a task because the app digit keyboard covers up the button and won't go away. It was great until I realized I literally can't create any recurring tasks because of this. ### 2/5 — Crashes while loading projects *2020-08-02, version 4.1.1* I understand Nifty is in its infancy but the app crashes on startup when the app tries to load the projects that were created on the PC. But it Crashes when I try to change the title on the in app document and it Crashes when I try to upload a file. Great potential, but needs work.
