Needs one small tweak… *2023-06-10* I have loved this games for years. The ability to configure the rules is fabulous. It lets you replicate the game you grew up with. With one exception… When the trump suit is random, there is no way for “No Trump” to ever be played. In my family, the rule was: If an Ace was turned over as the card to indicate the trump suit, then there would be ‘No Trump’ … instead of the suit of the Ace. It seems like this would be an easy option to add. WDYT? ### 3/5 — Inside the game *2021-12-13* After playing this for several years, they have really rigged the game against. During the last few months ALL of the hands I see are really crap. In 150 games nothing but hands that are traps appearing appearing that defy any reasonable type of existence. Odds of only one card in a suit with 40 cards dealt must be 1000 to one. No one wants to see hands that are impossible. It ask if I want to restart the saved game, but it doesn't take me back to the same spot. The free oh hell game is better. Save your $5 and go get a DQ blizzard for much more happiness. ### 4/5 — Very good version *2016-03-08, version 4.0.1* I've been trying to find a version of (insert whatever you call this game as it has loads of different names) which matches the rules I'm used to playing as closely as possible and this is it! What I like about this version is the trump suit is set every game and follows the H C D S and No Trumps sequence - exactly as I'm used to playing it. Unfortunately it doesn't follow our exact rules which goes from a single card, up to 13 cards and back down to a single card for the last hand. We also have a middle extra 13 card hand which you have to bid blind (before you see your hand) which always add a bit of excitement to the game. The game plays very well and you can fortunately turn off the annoying heads and speech bubbles. The indication of how many tricks each player has bid and how many tricks they currently have is also very good and missing from some versions - it is essential to know this when playing on an app version so you can keep track. My only criticism - which may be just the standard rules of where the author lives - is a single card hand coinciding with no trumps which obviously gives the leading card player a huge advantage. Still a minor thing. Well worth the £2.99 ### 2/5 — Freezes up *2015-10-24, version 3.4.1* Game is good with a number of different options. However, when you change options it freezes up on ipad3. Very frustrating. The other annoying thing is the avatars are little kids. Is this a kid game? It's so bad it really spoils it. If you get in a position were you are in the lead the computer makes all three gang up on you to make sure you fail. Also, the computers will almost always come out on top. Great fun, great game! ### 5/5 — THE BEST CARD GAME EVER *2016-02-16, version 4.0.1* This is an almost perfect version of Nomination Trumps/Whist, a really great game where you play alone (no teams) against 3 other players and even when dealt a bad hand you can often use your skill to do well. Of course there is some luck but skill will win more often. The biggest problem with this version is finding on-line opponents so if you buy it you could be helping with that.
