### 4/5 — Stars

*2026-08-15, version 26.4*

Really good app!! I’ve been using it for awhile my only issues are I wouldn’t mind more stars (with names) and maybe for the premium version to be less expensive like don’t get me wrong I love space it’s been my special interest for years now but I don’t rlly wanna pay 49.99 or 69.99 for it also for the nebulas not to come up under the new general catalog overall tho I do love this app it’s my favourite

### 5/5 — The best star app

### 5/5 — Good

*2026-08-13, version 26.4*

It was bad

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

Wow, the eclipse and meteor shower in one night. Aren’t we lucky. I just witnessed two shooting stars and wanted to check I’m not going crazy, so redownloaded and confirmed Perseids was in the right place. Feels like it has had significant updates compared to a few years back. Thank you to the Night Sky app for creating such an awesome app and keeping much of it free. It is appreciated. I hope to create an app as cool that helps as many people one day!

### 3/5 — Functional, too pushy

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

It gets the job done. It does not need an AI feature, and could really benefit from cutting down on the pushes to get their subscription service to have an LLM hallucinate about the constellations for you.

I don’t need to be suggested every time I open your app, did you forget you made a star gazing app? Who keeps their phone open when trying to star gaze?

### 5/5 — We love this.

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

We were introduced to this by our granddaughter years ago. You can use it from anywhere.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

It used to be really affordable. Not too long ago, I paid $4.99 a month. Now? It’s much too expensive and there was no need to add aura.. nobody needed AI features except the developer. I am 100% sure they didn’t pull their current users to ask what one they would make the experience better. I am 100% sure if they had pulled their users nobody would’ve said we need an AI integration.
It is quite literally out of touch financially for many people and that’s a shame. Because the Night Sky is already in accessible to so many with light pollution, and now what was once a legitimate tool for learning has been made inaccessible by greed. I know the developer will come back and say, but you can use it for free. And that’s technically true ,but they certainly don’t make it easy with pop-ups every few minutes and so many features behind a paywall of a ridiculous $-40 a month or, $90 a year . Who came up with this?

### 5/5 — Sky watcher

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

I’ve used this app for awhile and it’s been of great resource for star gazing and other celestial events

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-19, version 26.4*

Way too many ads

### 1/5 — Popups

*2026-08-16, version 26.4*

Constant pop ups trying to sell you a subscription & useless search function. Would be a good app if available as a 1-time purchase with no popup subscription, and if searching for a specific star or plant resulted in being shown that star or planet in the sky.

Clarification: The search function is indeed free - and it's useless. If you search for a planet or a star, the UI is horrendus and the results include everything BUT a way to quickly locate that planet or star in the sky.
Why an app developer should ask a user to reach out for support instead of improving their UI is beyond me. The constant pop-ups trying to sell you a subscription are a separate issue - they are the main reason I deleted the app.

### 1/5 — Nagging popups for their AI

*2026-08-14, version 26.4*

What happened to this app, it used to be great. Now it’s constantly asking me to subscribe to their AI. Wish I could turn that ‘feature’ off. Or charge a one-time $3 to give me a version that doesn’t nag me.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-08-14, version 26.4*

As soon as I actually wanted to use it to find the names of some stars, the damn thing started trying to upsell me on its stupid and unnecessary ai chat bot, using a full screen ad for it that I could not close. Do not get this, and certainly don’t spend your money on it

### 1/5 — meteor showers

*2026-08-13, version 26.4*

i’m looking for meteors today, but I don’t see any and
this app is not helping me

### 1/5 — Popups

*2026-08-13, version 26.4*

Constant pop ups trying to sell you a subscription & useless search function. Would be a good app if available as a 1-time purchase with no popup subscription, and if searching for a specific star or plant resulted in being shown that star or planet in the sky.

### 1/5 — Used to be free

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

This used to be free to use, now it won’t let you use it without subscribing to their ai service. Hitting the x to close does nothing.

### 1/5 — Not great

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

Doesn’t line up correctly

### 1/5 — Awful Over Saturation

*2026-08-12, version 26.4*

This was a terrible experience using this app. It covers the whole screen with so many stars and dots and you can't discern anything you're looking at. Completely overcrowded display. No way to rove or filter out anything. Useless for identifying a singular star you're looking at.

### 1/5 — Sad

*2026-08-05, version 26.4*

Was good, shoehorned in wasteful and unreliable AI, no longer good. Tale as old as time.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Divina aplicación !

*2026-08-26, version 26.4*

Es perfecta! La puedes ocupar aún sin pagar y vivir buenas experiencias, te muestra las congelación y de hecho hasta te da información de todo, realmente amo esta aplicación! Llevo dos años ya con ella

### 5/5 — I want aura

*2026-08-25, version 26.4*

I would like you to give me aura for free

### 5/5 — Horray

*2026-08-25, version 26.4*

Horray

### 5/5 — Good app

*2026-08-25, version 26.4*

I like the app but I don’t like how you have it for three days and then you have to pay, but I like how you get to see planets and everything and it’s really cool

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-24, version 26.4*

I absolutely love this app whenever I see something in the sky I wanna know what it actually is. This app shows me exactly what it is where it is by name and more. If you’re into the stars get this yesterday.

### 5/5 — Night Sky app

*2026-08-22, version 26.4*

I think this an excellent “Real Time” app in that it shows you everything no matter which way you point your camera and also that you can click on stuff and get a little “education” about what you’re seeing.
The music that accompanies the app is also very inspiring and puts me in a nice frame of mind. It seems to go nicely with it. I think it was well chosen.
It’s also nice for seeing “through” the earth and below the horizon.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2026-08-22, version 26.4*

I really enjoy the night sky and love how the app helps me identify stars, planets, constellations, even satellites.. This app is the best of the bunch..!

### 5/5 — God is Great

*2026-08-16, version 26.4*

Qui d’autre que Dieu le Tout-Puissant pouvait créer Les Cieux . gloire lui soit rendu à toujours et à perpétuité.

### 5/5 — Just great app

*2026-08-16, version 26.4*

Love it! The best feature is the calming “music”.

### 5/5 — Use the space star test

*2026-08-15, version 26.4*

I could see everything I got 100 on my science test
