## What is NightCue?

Sleep apps tell you what to try. Your Oura ring tells you how you slept. Neither tells you whether the thing you tried did anything for you.

NightCue does. One change at a time, measured against your own sleep.

Requires an Oura ring (Gen 2 or later) and an Oura account.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Connect your Oura ring. NightCue reads your sleep through Oura's official API.
2. It learns your normal first, so there is something real to compare against.
3. Pick one thing to try: an earlier bedtime, a wind-down routine, a caffeine cutoff, a supplement you already use.
4. Each morning, a 20-second check-in. NightCue also logs what muddies the picture, like alcohol, illness or travel, and sets those nights aside.
5. After enough clean nights, you get a read: keep going, too early to tell, or drop it and try something else.

WHY IT IS DIFFERENT
- "It did nothing" is a real answer, and you will get it. Most sleep apps have no way to tell you that.
- One experiment at a time. No dashboard of numbers you cannot act on.
- Your own baseline, never a population average.
- Readable rules, not a black box. You can see why it landed where it did.

WHAT NIGHTCUE IS NOT

NightCue is a wellness and self-experimentation tool. It is not medical advice, does not diagnose any condition, and does not recommend doses for supplements. It will not tell you that something is right for you — it helps you see what your own sleep data leans towards. Always speak to a qualified professional before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement, medication, or routine.

Requires an Oura ring (Gen 2 or later) and an Oura account.

SUBSCRIPTION

NightCue is free to download, and your first experiment — through to its result — is free. NightCue Plus then unlocks further experiments and your full history.

NightCue Plus is offered monthly or annually. See the purchase screen in the app for current pricing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple account settings.

Your own Oura numbers stay free to read, subscription or not.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-10-15

Something back every morning.
• Last night's number now shows on Home, during your baseline and while an experiment runs.
• Your typical so far appears once there's enough data, with how much your nights usually vary.
• See how many usable nights are left until your first read.
• Fixes: a night that was synced but not checked in is now explained, and the baseline target reads the same everywhere.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-10-03

- Your track record now lives on Home.
- Mixed results now name the metric that got worse.
- Smoother check-ins and sign-in.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-09-26

- UI improvements.
- Results now show what moved and how sure the read is.
- The morning check-in is three quick questions.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-17

- Sleep goals now show your baseline numbers even while an experiment is running — previously the goal screen could appear empty.
- "Build a consistent sleep routine" is now measured by how much of your night you spend asleep, and says so up front.
- Better ordering of suggested changes, so the option that best fits your goal comes first.
- Smaller fixes to connecting Oura and to the results screen.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-09

Sign in with Apple or Google — one tap, no waiting for a code.
The opening screens now explain what NightCue does, and that it needs an Oura ring, before asking for your email.
Re-test an experiment straight from its result, and see at a glance how confident a verdict is.
Clearer reasons when a new experiment can't start yet, plus fixes to baselines, reminders and sign-in.
