I used to listen to this show all the time with my grandmother, when I was a child. I continued to listen through college and many nights fell asleep listening to the classic voice of Bill Pearce. The soothing voice of the host is just as inspiring as it was many years ago. As I have recently been battling illness, I find the messages of hope bring me a a sense of peace in a world filled with anxiety and uncertainty. I have been so blessed by these timeless messages, and I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a source of hope and strength. ### 5/5 — Excellent! *2020-04-07, version 5.0.1* This program/app is a huge blessing. She had not been receptive to the Gospel though I approached her many times. That evening was a difficult one (12/7/2017) needless to say but I just trusted her soul to the Lord (though not with great faith) and that nite when Nightsounds came on, Bill Pierce announced the theme for that program to be “Coming Home”. I will always remember that as a comfort from the Lord regarding her eternal safety. I am now 44 and am so blessed to find this app with which I can listen anytime. My own 12 year old daughter now enjoys it along with me. Just yesterday while playing an episode in the car, she asked me to “take the long way home please - I always like this program”. Mr. Pearce has a special ministry. My family and I enjoyed all the old shows. We will no longer support or listen. You ruined a great thing! It was timeless for a reason and “podcasting” a radio show is a horrible fit. Please put it back to the old format! ### 1/5 — Contact problems *2020-09-01, version 5.6.0* I have listened to this program on Christian radio for decades and then on the app but the last three or four times that I have emailed questions to these people they simply just do not respond and I don’t know if they are completely unmanned or if it’s anything personal because I’ve emailed questions and they’ve had no response so the one star is for that reason but Bill Pierce‘s ministry is a five-star to me and I don’t think that he would like his listeners not being responded to. ### 2/5 — Commercials *2025-07-08, version 6.3.1* Update: fast forward still causes crash. But the latest update crashes the player if you either manually slide the indicator to the right, or if you click on the “Skip ahead 15 secs” button. Please fix. Thank you! ### 3/5 — The obnoxious intrusion for money that destroys the intro ruins this app. *2023-09-11* As mentioned by MANY other commenters, the funding request ruins the best part of Mr. Pearce’ s program. I grew up listening to this program and the intro was key to introducing a calm, restful, peaceful reverie… now I get a JARRING, intrusive, peace-destroying call to give money before I even have a chance to blink. 1/10 for that, gang. Like anticipating a delicious cupcake and taking a bite a finding it covered in salt.😡 ### 3/5 — Ads are Disruptive, Annoying *2020-01-04, version 5.0.1* Loved Nightsounds and listened to it for many years - but the ads are disruptive, too loud, out of sync and out of place. It’s hard to relax when these really high-energy pitchy voices pop up unexpectedly in the beginning, middle, and end of random broadcasts, especially after hearing Bill’s soothing voice. Recently, however, loud ads have been inserted which interrupt the programs. This is very disappointing and takes attention away from Mr Pearce’s messages. I have only one suggestion-I would love it if the next episode would automatically play without having to download several episodes. Like I said, not a complaint but a suggestion. Also, I don’t like the donation pitch over the opening theme song. For most of us, that music is the beginning of a relaxing & world-purging night. Couldn’t that donation request be put at the end of the broadcast? And I would still love the next episode to play automatically, or have a setting for that to be an option. I was always so fascinated with Bill’s stories and voice. ✨ It’s crazy how now as an adult, I understand it more and it’s so much more powerful and meaningful to me. ✨ I listen every night. It’s weird how it always seems to be something that relates to me..always hits home. I love the old school music too. Although my favorite is when Bill plays his music with his trombone✨ I love this app so much, it really fills my heart with joy.
