Perform real night vision with just your iPhone!   NightVision uses the infrared FaceID camera to see in total darkness. The camera works within a range of 10 feet and can see objects that are invisible to the human eye. TECHNOLOGY NightVision uses a technology called TrueDepth, which is what enables Apple's FaceID. The TrueDepth Camera uses an infrared emitter to project over 30,000 dots in a grid pattern that are recorded by an infrared camera. This information is used to calculate spacial depth "pixels". NightVision processes this spacial depth information into a color gradient, thus exposing the geometry of a scene without visible light. DEVICE REQUIREMENTS •NightVision requires a device with FaceID •NightVision requires ARKit NOTES •NightVision works with just the front-facing selfie camera. This uses the infrared FaceID camera to render objects in 3D with no external light source. You can see things in the dark that would be invisible with a normal camera.
