## What is Nightwick?

The dead wake when the sun goes down. Someone has to keep watch.

Nightwick is a one-thumb survival roguelite where your lantern is everything. Its light burns every ghost it touches, but the flame is fed by oil, and oil is your life. Get hurt and your circle of light shrinks. Let it go out and the night is lost.

LIGHT IS EVERYTHING
• Ghosts only take shape inside your light. In the dark you'll see nothing but their eyes.
• Tombstones cast real shadows, and anything hiding behind one is safe from your flame.
• The brighter you burn, the stronger you are. Run low and the darkness closes in.

BUILD YOUR LANTERN
• Collect soul flames and choose a blessing each time you level up.
• Sweep the night with a Searchlight, trail burning Embers, summon circling Jack-o'-Lanterns, send out Banishing Pulses, or set a Lantern Crow on the hunt.
• Light old candles to claim safe ground. Inside their glow, your oil lasts.

HOLD TILL DAWN
• Each night lasts six minutes, with ghost tides, Lighteaters that devour your light, and The Faceless Maw waiting before sunrise.
• Earn coins every night and spend them on lasting upgrades.
• Unlock four cemeteries, each with its own rules: fog, a blood moon, and a forest with no oil at all.

PLAY ANYWHERE
• One thumb, portrait mode, on iPhone and iPad.
• A short tutorial teaches you everything in a minute.
• No ads, no in-app purchases, no account, no internet needed.

A reimagining of GraveKeeper, the 2011 iOS original. The lantern has been relit.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-10-21

Nightwick 1.1 - The Eternal Cemetery

NEW: THE ETERNAL CEMETERY
Clear the Blackwood and a fifth gate opens. There is no dawn here. The night only grows darker, and you hold on as long as you can.
- Five new bosses rise as the night goes on: The Hollow Bell, The Gravedigger, The Chainbound, The Mirror Widow and The Eternal. Leave one alive and its curse stays with you.
- Everyone faces the same cemetery each day. Fall, and the gate seals for 24 hours.
- Game Center leaderboards (today and all-time) and six medals to earn. Behold the Eternal. Become Legend.

BOSSES THAT MATTER
- Each cemetery's boss now arrives at 4:30. Banish it before dawn to open the next cemetery. If it escapes, it returns at full strength.

NEW GHOSTS, NEW GROUNDS
- Every cemetery has its own ghosts: lamp thralls, fog wraiths, blood pups, blood bats, oil leeches, candle snuffers and root wraiths.
- Every cemetery has its own ground, tombstones and decorations.

ALSO NEW
- Now in English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean (switch in Settings).
- Browse the cemeteries as cards, swipe through How to Play, and buy upgrades right from the results screen.
- A longer dawn, a new boss health bar, Bloodmoon Hollow rebalanced, and many fixes.
