The painting accuracy is not good and lately it will not recognize the polish capsules. So glad I didn’t pay $600 for this behemoth. ### 3/5 — When it works, it’s wonderful *2026-01-03* Funded this as a Kickstarter a number of years ago and have only just gotten around to opening it this year. The hardware is well designed and slick, the product, when it works, does a very solid job of painting your nails. However, the reason for my three star review is that the app and the device consistently lose track of each other partway through the manicure and there is no way to fix it other than a total restart. I’ve had to go through the tutorial manicure twice now because the first time I lost connection after painting four fingers, and there is no way to reconnect them. The second time it got confused and repainted fingers, Multiple times. The tutorials and FAQs don’t really offer solutions, they offer cheerleading and very basic explanations, but helpful suggestions. The customer service hotline is only open Monday through Friday. This is a solid version 1.0, but unless it can function more consistently, I wouldn’t pick one up unless you have the patience to spend extra time debugging what’s wrong. ### 5/5 — It DOES work well *2025-10-24* Skeptical at first- but after setting it up and going through the app instructions it worked well. It is a very cool apparatus. It does take a little bit to get it set up through the application initially because you have to go through tutorials and things like that and do a practice run - but afterward it’s fairly smooth sailing. I don’t use it as much as I want, but am going to try to make it a more religious effort because I’ve read that it gets better each time you use it. Over all I love it- and although I was hesitant when I bought it, I’m glad I have it now. ### 1/5 — Terrible Instruction - 3 hours in… *2025-02-09* Purchased the device, downloaded the app. The instructions are horrible, and the lit button offer very little information. The app doesn’t even identify the WiFi network you’ve connected to, and frankly, is very unstable. The app advises “times” it should take for a task to complete with the device, but it’s never correct. Overall - a complete waste of an incredible idea, in my opinion. Save your money - spend $10 on an actually manicure. ### 5/5 — User friendly. Well-Done Guidance *2024-12-29* Once I ordered the nimble, received a link in my email with login info. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the design as well as the comprehensiveness of the directions and tutorials. Made my practice mani very enjoyable and excited to use the device again! ### 1/5 — Constant error messages *2024-12-09* I’ve been able to use the device only once in practice mode and it provided me with the absolute worst manicure I’ve ever had. My 8 year old son could have done a better job. I’m now attempting my 2nd manicure in express mode so I don’t have to sit and wait for an hour but I can’t even get the app to select a manicure type. Just in constant waiting mode and then kicks me out. Have reset WiFi and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. A total failure. ### 5/5 — Works like a charm! *2024-10-05* The negative reviews for the app come from people not reading the setup emails. The app worked great to walk me through unpacking and setting up the machine and doing my first manicure. It was super helpful and the paint job turned out better than I expected, honestly. ### 1/5 — App does not work for sign in *2024-05-07* Like the other reviewers, I waited years for this to come and I can’t even use it yet! There is no way to create an account on app nor on their website which is odd. I found the activation email that another reviewer suggested to use, but for me it just gave an error message when I clicked the link. It seems like such a HUGE flaw that you can’t use device unless you have the app but the app doesn’t even work! So far am disappointed but hopefully customer service is responsive. **Developer response:** Hi! At the moment, the Nimble app is only for customers who have received a device. If you have your device, we emailed you a personal link to set up your account on the same day that your Nimble was shipped out. Look for an email with the subject line “Nimble Beauty Account Activation” (check spam too!) and follow the instructions. If you’ve received your Nimble over a month ago, please email hello@nimblebeauty.com for a new account invite as they do expire. ### 1/5 — Sign in instructions here *2024-04-13* I was a Kickstarter backer and was sent an email on April 4th, 2024, called “Nimble Beauty Account Activation”. Within that email, there is a button you can click to create a password. Just be aware that they don’t give you password suggestions, so it might take a few tries before you create a password that works. But after you have your password, you can go back to the app, enter the email address that they sent the above mentioned email to and your new password, and you’re good to go. ### 1/5 — Unable to create an account *2024-03-30* Upon opening app, the only option is to sign in, no option to create account . **Developer response:** Hi!
