### 3/5 — Good note app but roadmap is odd

*2025-04-02, version 9.9.0*

I’ve been a user of Nbus extensively for many years. It’s a very functional note taking app with a bunch of added benefits but I’m never quite sure the direction the dev team are trying to take it. Is it a client portal? A CRM? A lot of the basic features like sorting workspaces based on name, archiving and even updating this app seem to have taken a back seat.

### 5/5 — A best of class Notes app

*2024-12-25, version 9.9.0*

Several years ago, when I got tired of all the shenanigans Evernote was pulling, bloated software, increased subscription costs, I looked for a replacement. It needed to be able to have inline art and colorized text. Nimbus fills the bill quite nicely. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

### 5/5 — Reliable

*2024-09-27, version 9.9.0*

Nimbus and the team working on it are constantly pushing the envelope and listening to customers

### 4/5 — Nimbus

*2024-06-12, version 9.9.0*

I gave it 4 stars only because there are feature I am waiting to see. But I like the pricing structure and ability to use it using at her platforms. Would like to see a feature to change default font colors.

### 4/5 — Great for notes organization

*2024-03-14, version 9.9.0*

I dump everything in here. The only thing missing is the capability to scribble/write using the Apple/Samsung pen like what I can do with MS OneNote. I scribble a lot so that’s a huge must for me.

### 4/5 — Rating

*2024-03-12, version 9.9.0*

Overall a useful app but could be a bit faster. The Windows version doesn’t seem to sync all the time. Still not sure if I will use this or stay with Evernote. Been with them since inception (3/2008) and hate to leave.

### 4/5 — What I need

*2024-02-29, version 9.9.0*

It does the job well.

### 5/5 — Want to be productive?

*2024-02-22, version 9.9.0*

The best service/app to keep you organized is Nimbus. Keep up!

### 4/5 — What I’ve been looking for in a notes app

*2024-01-18, version 9.9.0*

I’ve only been using Nimbus for a little over a week and so far it’s been very good. I’m the type of person that needs the structure of folders and Nimbus excels at that. You can also color code your folders for quick identification. I’m using the app on my iPad and iPhone only and my only small complaint is that I’ve noticed a slight lag in syncing and when opening a note on either device. But that’s certainly not a dealbreaker.

### 4/5 — It’s OK

*2024-01-11, version 9.9.0*

I like some things about it but also it’s it’s really lacking in certain areas too. It’s not a project management system by any stretch of the imagination but if you’re doing all of your work somewhere else you want to show it to somebody it’s OK for that.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2023-12-31, version 9.9.0*

I grew tired of Evernote charging $120 a year. This is an excellent replacement.

Evernote free is annoyingly trying to sale every login making it unusable. Worth the switch!

### 5/5 — Great note taking alternative to Evernote

*2023-12-07, version 9.9.0*

I’ve been with Nimbus Note for a few years and am pleased to see the upgrades happening. Ive moved everything over to Nimbus (now Fusebase) and making better use of it than I ever could with Evernote. (As a multi-passionate content creator and solopreneur.)

### 5/5 — Краще, чим користувався

*2023-11-06, version 9.9.0*

Так виглядає втілена мрія) чудово попрацювали, гарний застосунок зробили. Зараз це мій улюбленець

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2023-09-24, version 9.9.0*

Goodbye Evernote! This is soooo much better and does everything evernote doesn’t…for a fraction of the cost

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — MISLEADING

*2024-12-28*

Very very misleading, I have a lot of notes I wanted to have scanned so they can be organized better. I got it because the pictures showed you can take a picture of your notes and it’ll turn them into a legible typed up document. Actually you CANNOT! Once getting the app it’s literally just a different version of the Notes App on my iPhone- like what’s the point? I can just go to my Notes App and upload a picture 🤷🏽‍♂️ which is literally what this app does. So why is this company forcing people to pay for thieir version of the NOTES APP THAT IS ALREADY BUILT INTO OUR PHONES ?! DO NOT GET THIS APP ITS A SCAM!

### 1/5 — Was good, now too limited

*2024-08-16, version 9.9.0*

This used to work more reasonably but now I can't add more than one line of info to a note without hitting paywall so it's useless now

### 1/5 — Unreliable, stay away

*2024-07-01, version 9.9.0*

Used to be one of my favourite note taking apps.
Left all of these Ever***e and OneN***e competitors far behind.
Things are different today.
First, it lost its ability to save copy-pasted web pages.
Second, very important notes disappeared a few days before job interview. (Admittedly, this was fixed by technical support rather quickly, but the experience was miserable).
Now, all pictures from all notes are gone after painstaking efforts inserting them.
Guys, I am extremely disappointed.

### 1/5 — iOS app is only a beta

*2024-03-21, version 9.9.0*

The iOS version is not compatible with all of the features the desktop client has to offer. Some of my notes are not viewable on the iOS version because of the lack of compatibility which makes me wonder why I paid for a subscription if I cannot read my task board on the go.

### 1/5 — Avoid - No responses from customer support

*2024-02-28, version 9.9.0*

Have been using for years and been on paid subscription. Had an issue and received no response despite trying to reach out in multiple ways. Leaving this program now and there’s no way to easily export files. Highly recommend avoiding this product.

### 1/5 — Lacks feature parity with web and desktop

*2023-12-03, version 9.9.0*

Beware: Many types of notes you create on desktop or web will not be viewable in this app. That’s because there are a lot of block types you can use there that aren’t available in the mobile app. So this app is pretty useless unless you use it exclusively.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-02-13, version 9.9.0*

No way to import bookmarks. Cluttered UI, not friendly to use.

### 1/5 — Was a believer but app is getting worse

*2023-02-06, version 9.9.0*

Nimbus keeps focusing on adding new features and not resolving existing issues. That coupled with the fact that the iOS app is so far behind the web app and you got yourself a subpar note taking system.

I used it for over a year and have 1000+ notes stored in there. It's so difficult to move them out as they do not have a proper exporting system. I recommend looking elsewhere, I know I am!

### 1/5 — Will not sync on iPad

*2022-11-18, version 9.8.0*

Been waiting 2 years for this to sync on iPad. Was told a new version would fix the problem. It just does not sync on iPad.

### 1/5 — Promising app with pathetic execution

*2022-10-13, version 9.6.1*

This product has a lot of promise. As we watch Evernote burn to the waterline and sink beneath the waves, I really hoped Nimbus would be a worthy successor.

Short answer: It’s not.

The problems:
Data loss or failure to store data. I frequently end up with a note that I typed content into with nothing saved. What did I type? I don’t know, know, because the app I pay a subscription to to remember things for me can’t do that basic thing.

Syncing is frighteningly bad. Quite often I end up with different numbers of items on different devices. Sometimes the differences are small, but sometimes quite large. Sometimes items in one device stay in the unsynced state for days before suddenly syncing. Why? Who knows? The several forced syncs didn’t do anything, but suddenly they sync. Elves? Genie wishes? A gentle breeze from heaven? You know who doesn’t know? Nimbus Technical Support!
Rarely do any two devices agree on numbers. Are all notes in the central server? Who knows! Certainly not Nimbus tech support, who say things like “they probably are.”

Sometimes items just disappear from a device but stay on the server. Recently my phone had on the order of 8000 notes on it (which was the number it should have had). The next day, it had only about 600. Why? Who knows? Where did all those items go? Who knows? But here’s someone who doesn’t know - Nimbus Technical Support. When I couldn't get the items to sync to that device, their best suggestion was “wait a few hours and maybe they will come back.” I have been waiting for three weeks - they haven’t come back to that device.

Ongoing development is on new features, not core functionality. Nimbus adds new features weekly. This is foolish, when the app’s most basic feature - saving data - doesn’t work reliably. But don’t worry - you can now share workspaces and fill them with notes that didn’t save the data you or your colleagues typed in them. Technical debt is real, and the interest cases by waiting can kill a company.

Data corruption is the new bustedness. Earlier today I typed a note that said something like “ Add chemicals to the pool and run the filter” and ensured that the data was saved. Now it says “Add chemicals to the pool Copy”. Where did the text I typed go? Who knows? Where did the word copy come from? Who knows? But here’s who I’m not bothering to ask: Nimbus Technical Support. They have proved to me that they don’t know and don’t seem to care. This is the the last straw. Goodbye, Nimbus.

What’s next? Probably OneNote. At least with the big M, I know what I’m getting into. Indifferently designed software with crummy to mediocre UX, lousy tech support, and bad documentation, but I can probably count on little to no data loss or corruption. These days, that’s exceptional and rare.

*2026-05-12, version 9.9.0*

I use it with my team. Quitte impressive

### 5/5 — OCR Capability for Notes

*2026-04-09, version 9.9.0*

I‘m very happy to have discovered this app. It allows me to create notes from my readings, drawing on the OCR function to scan selected text. Also important is the ability to organize notes by folders, including folders. In addition, one can mark portions of the text through the use of colored highlights, fonts, and the like.

### 5/5 — Great for notes and screenshots

*2025-11-30, version 9.9.0*

This app is much better than Evernote because the screenshot and sharing allow for great collaboration

### 5/5 — I love it! My favorite note taking app

*2025-04-12, version 9.9.0*

My mind is all over the place and I have such great random thoughts at the most inopportune times. So a note taking app is crucial for me to remember all those musings in my head. Nimbus Note has been the perfect place to store everything but not only I think about, discover in my travels. It’s well worth the subscription and I keep discovering new, exciting ways of doing what I did in other apps. Now I have everything in one place thankfully. Love Nimbus Note!

### 5/5 — Very nice app.

*2025-03-14, version 9.9.0*

Easy to use. You can even draw with it. I think that's cool. Plus it password protected.
