Currently have zero models showing for anywhere. **Developer response:** Hey there, there was a problem last night with spotWx backend. The spotWx site was also down this morning as well. The issue has been completely resolved and shouldn't happen again. Please take another look and reach out to me if you have any other issues -Ben ### 2/5 — Needs access to different mb FCs *2025-05-12* The concept is great but the lack of ability to access weather for different mb levels on the models removes any usefulness for me. Will happily subscribe once I can access the different pressure levels on models. ### 2/5 — Not quite ready *2023-04-30* Could be better. Graph details are lacking. Was hoping for more of a SpotWx look. Would like to cancel pro version subscription but no option to do so? **Developer response:** Which graph details were you hoping for? I'll add them if you keep the pro version ;) If you decide you don't want it, you can unsubscribe in your iPhones settings > Purchases / your profile > Subscriptions ### 2/5 — Doesn’t show models *2023-03-31* No matter what location I choose in Canada or the US it doesn’t list any models to view so not very useful **Developer response:** Hey there, we had a bug yesterday with the SpotWx backend. It was resolved and shouldn't happen again. The spotWx website was down as well, but everything should be good to go now :) -Ben ### 2/5 — Hard pass on this app. Cant even access GFS without subscribing. *2023-03-26* Yeah, you get 1 week free but requiring someone to subscribe and not give access to the free model is ludicrous. Get Windy or Ventusky for access to ECMF, GEMS, GFS, HRRR and a few other models without subscribing to test drive their apps. You also get access to current weather charts, radar, satellite and lightning strike data. **Developer response:** Hi Allen, sorry to hear about your experience. There was a bug in the first version but we have since updated it. You shouldn't have any problems accessing the GFS model without subscribing now. If the problem persists please reach out to me through our Facebook page. ### 3/5 — Interesting concept, but < spotwx *2023-04-12* On the GFS model (10 days) I can’t see days of the week on the graph. When I click and drag on the graph, the date appears but still not the day (monday, tuesday, etc) Also, an integration of the Nowcast stations data would be nice! Lastly, a better topo map underlay would be nice to see the selected altitude. Currently, only way to know is once you’ve selected your model. Lots of potential, i’m real close to buying the pro version. **Developer response:** Hey Jack, I really appreciate the feedback! I'm working on a big update right now and will try to include the contour lines and also the days of the week. It's hard to fit all the data into a small screen, but I should be able to squeeze it in, if it means you'll get the pro version :) -Ben ### 3/5 — Almost perfect *2023-04-11* Needs just one feature from SpotWX which I use heavily - timestamp for when the model was most recently updated! I'll add that to the next update :) -Ben ### 4/5 — Nice interface for the full featured spotwx website *2025-08-16* 2 yr user. I use NimbusWx for quick spot location forecasts. Usually for same day activities. The AI feature is merely ok. It needs a precise prompt to give a useful forecast. My best prompt is ‘detailed 24 hr forecast’. The AI feature hasn’t worked for the last month or so. :/ I wish the app had a feedback link instead of relying on Facebook (which I no longer us) All round decent app! ### 5/5 — Just what I needed! *2023-04-05* Works fast and shows the models I want to see.
