Some games are good some are amazing but this one is Just mind bowling. Excellent work.

best customization and all over a great app. no crashes for me. id be willing to buy a newer app from you if graphics are improved further.. i already got this and wilderless. make one for 2022 and if it surpasses these apps make it 4.99 ill pay! lol

I’m about fifteen minutes into the game (iPad Pro 12.9) and struggling like crazy trying to collect the first items guarded by ‘monsters’. Rando walks slowly. I can’t get him to run at more than a jog, or jump reliably. It’s maddening. I would love to play more but don’t think it’s possible for me to successfully retrieve the items needed with the controls the way they are. I’ve fiddled with them and nothing seems to work. I can’t imagine how difficult further challenges would be. Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

**Developer response:** If you haven't yet try Options-COntrols-touchpad look on. Thats usually the one that is the most helpful for people. The controls were an issue for a lot of people and its because of feedback like this that I made sure importing the controls for my new game Wilderless was a priority, so I appreciate teh feedback because I read all of it and eventually it makes its way into my games. If you have a controller it supports many of them. You need to connect the controller before you start the game. That aside the main options that control how the controls work and the camera are in Options-Controls and Options-Camera. And thank you for giving me 2 stars instead of 1 even with the issues. Its just me working here and every star helps me reach more people and its a great way to support my efforts to make more and better games, so I appreciate that.

I understand people want money but the way you went about it is kinda deceiving the buyers for 3$ you could of made it a 2hrs game play. It was less then 20mins of action not bad though your a intriguing developer but with all the others out there, I don’t doubt your give them a run for the money.  I played love&tin will check out the other one a later time. But keep at it thumbs up

The second story Ballad of BrightRidge is longer than Love and Tin (which was the second story I added but I put it first because of how it fits in the timeline). I will keep trying to improve my games and I am grateful for the support:)

古いアプリながらさまざまな環境設定をいじる事が出来、最高品質に近付けると最新端末でもfpsを維持出来ないくらいに重くなります。が、綺麗になり、最近のアプリに決して引きを取りません。
続編はもっとクオリティが上がっており、成長要素もあるのでオススメです。

I played this game some years ago 

This is probably one of my favourite games ever, graphics music, gameplay and story all contribute to being a fantastic game, to me it was more an experience that a game but totally worth it and I was so pleased to see a game in this series I’ve not played yet, so I’m looking forward to purchasing the next one soon.

And its cool you describe it as an experience rather than a game because that's what I really want to do - make experiences , like places that feel a bit real and magical in a way that you can just go through. The original 1.0 version didn't even have any stories - I added those over the next couple of years to give the game more of a "game" structure. Im actually really glad I added them because these characters are important to me, but it has its roots as an experience in nature and im glad you saw that :) And a super big thank you for giving my game 5 stars because it is. great way to support developers like me.

I love the customisation in game, it’s of the chart. Who doesn’t like running games in low quality and then ramming it up to max. The graphics are pretty and the animation is very good. You can’t go wrong at this price, it’s a steal.

Have to reboot iphone 14 just to get it to start. Then the controller works for 5 seconds then stops. Not worth the trouble, other games work fine.

**Developer response:** Thanks for letting me know. I just released an update using a newer version of teh engine with quality settings and improved controls. I hope this makes things work better, and im sorry about the bad experience.

This game is described as Open world….think again, follow this arrow, go there, do this do that, gave up after playing for about half an hour….Don’t waste your money on this, like I did, should be a way to get a refund, because of its bad description

**Developer response:** Yeah, I get the frustration with the go here do that. this was my first open world game and I hope teh story itself is emotional but I can keep learning more about how to make the mechanics of it engaging. Wanted something relaxing and open world so this looked like the kind of thing I’d like. However, after a couple of hours I don’t like the constant orange icon to tell you where to go and all actions are just done for you. There is nothing to do other than walking into the next orange icon.. then after doing a few things with ‘Bot’ and ‘defeating’ the boss, I got thrown out and nothing has saved. 

Not relaxing just kind of annoying.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for trying my game Catscream, and I'm sorry about that. It should save your progress on story modes. And there is a third mode called explorateur that is just for exploring. When you are in Love and Tin Story mode or Ballad of BrightRidge story mode if it doesn't restart you where you left off, go to options, settings, chapters. Here you can instantly skip to any of the chapters in both story modes.

**Developer response:** Привет, спасибо за отзыв. Жаль, что на iPhone 12 mini у тебя начинается троттлинг и появляются рывки камеры. Я один разработчик и постепенно улучшаю производительность и нагрузку на устройство. В игре также есть настройки качества, которые можно снизить (разрешение, графика), чтобы уменьшить нагрузку. Спасибо, что сообщил об этом.

(Fyi I played on an ipad pro with 256gb memory, most of which is unused.  I had nothing else open.)There may be a great game here, but it is likely I’ll never know.  Just too exhausting to even try to make the character move in the correct direction, let alone any other action.  Camera goes all over the place and constantly gets too close in to the main character - I tried moving it out but just zooms in again.  Tried first person and same thing.  Try to select to move in a specific direction by pressing on the screen and half the time the character just continues to stand around.  When he does move, the camera swings wildly and so do the characters movements.  Just awful.  Music and visuals are good but there is no voice - or only a compressed squeal when there should be voice.  Everything is in a text box at the very bottom of the screen, which I miss half the time while struggling to control the characters movements - so I’m missing most of the dialog.  Characters do have speech bubbles sometimes, but text does not appear in them.  There are a range of movement settings, but none of them helped - just a mess.  Touching a character or object seems to accomplish nothing - perhaps this is a port from a different platform as this game seems not designed for touch controls.  Sadness.

**Developer response:** Thank you, there is a lot of helpful feedback here. I didn't change teh voices or the speech bubble text, but I did launch an update that uses I think more intuitive controls that work more like on a  standard game. in the original teh camera keeps spinning as long as the thumb is down and dragged, and now it only looks around when you move your finger. I hope this makes at least the controls better, and thanks for taking the chance on my game.

Das Spiel ist mit Sicherheit nicht fertig. Der Charakter springt lächerlicher Weise gefühlte 10 Meter hoch und clipped durch jede Zimmerdecke oder Dach. 
Die Steuerung ist richtig schlecht. Menü und Inventar erinnern an einen Alpha Test. 
Die Battles sind clunky as hell. 
Wer also, wie ich, die Kommentare liest und glaube er bekommt so was wie Zelda, wird sehr nüchtern und mit nem kleinen Loch im Geldbeutel aufwachen. 
Sorry, nur weil es ein „One Man Developer“ sollten gewisse Standards nicht sinken.

Ich stimme zu, dass es ein raues und hausgemachtes Spiel ist, aber ich gebe mein Bestes.  Mein einziges Ziel war es, eine Welt zu erschaffen und zu teilen, die ich für etwas Besonderes hielt und die aus meinem Herzen gemacht wurde, und den Spielern ein magisches Gefühlserlebnis in einer natürlichen Welt zu bieten.

I spent 4 dollars for a cheap graphic, slow moving, crappy game.
First, you cant even move fast.
Second, its not beautiful as evreyone says, its just CRAP. The deer doesnt even have eyes!
Third, NOTHING goes fast, your slow, BOT is slow, the wolf is slow, the EAGLE is slow! AND EAGLES ARENT SLOW.
I have have tons more to say but I wont.

I've seen negative reviews before but never given one. This game looks to be amazing, my ideal kind of game. Sadly after an hour I am still stuck n the rock that the first chapter opens on. None of the motion controls work. Please, please developers if you don't work on an iPad let people know. I get the impression I need an extra bit of hardware but this was not made clear when I looked at the blurb before buying. What a waste of my time.

**Developer response:** I’m sorry to hear that and I am sure it is very frustrating. It should just work with touch and not need any extra hardware, and I have reviews where it is working on the newest iPad, so there must be something different going on here that I want to figure out. When you start the game are there images of console buttons (A,B etc) that would mean a gamepad is attached which could be interfering with the touch. Also try closing the app and restarting the game. If you write me at robert@protopop.com and let me know your device and iOS version maybe I can help figure this out.

I couldn’t get off the rock at the start. How the hell do you control the avatar. The instructions are non existent. ‘Walk around’ you state, how? Fortunately I can erase the game faster than work out what how to play, move or even get off the rock at the start. A complete waste of time and electricity.

**Developer response:** you should be able to drag the joystick on the left to move, which makes me feel like there may be a bug or something here. Any chance you have a joystick connected to the device, because that can interfere with the touch controls. Other than that, all I can think of is there is some kind of bug i'm not aware of. Im sorry that it did not work, and thanks for trying my game.

I remember playing nimian hunter when I was I little girl and a deep dive into it lead me here, I’m glad I found this! It’s simple but good fun, a game you can chill out with , it has a nostalgic feel and I loved exploring the open world

Small fact, The character in Nimian Hunter Random is the same name I gave to the boy in BrightRidge, and with games take place in the same world. I love hearing when people played my games when they were younger and have good memories.Now im making 3d games to do exactly what you say, to just chill out a bit and with a  nostalgic feeling of old school gameplay. I'm working on more games and updates, and thank you for giving my game 5 stars because it's a very helpful way to support developers like me.

**Developer response:** That's great and yes I just try to make things as fair as possible. I'm actually working on an update for brightridgehd also although it's a couple of months away but it will add new water and rivers and update some of the features. Thanks also so much for the review because it's a great way to help me reach people and I'm trying really hard right now to make more sales and let more people know about my games. I work on them every day and I'm putting a lot of effort into making them as good and expensive as possible :-)

It’s so good, but it is short and you finish it felling you’ve only played level 1. Quality over quantity though. That said, I’d be keen to see more chapters. 

I’m writing this review years after I played it. Possibly 8 years. A long time anyway. It’s that good and memorable.

I remember playing the lite version many many years ago when I was still in high school, and I loved exploring the open world. Now as an adult coming back to this open world adventure is so nostalgic and it’s amazing how much the game has evolved! Imo still one of the most beautiful open world games on the app store

Also i am working hard on the sequel Vandgels - a story of faith set in remote snowy mountains, so i hope you will stay tuned for that too. Like the others by this developer the game is beautiful and entertaining. It’s a great escape into another world. Graphics are superb. Plus uniquely it can be very relaxing as you can roam free through the world unmolested if you want to. Glad I found it!

This is one of the few big world where my 4 year old child can play. She can't read yet, but she is able to follow the markers that guides her where to go next. I love this idea! There aren't many grand games that a child can play. Highly recommended for parents!
