## What is NimShare?

NimShare is a self-hosted file sharing and collaboration platform. This iOS client connects to your own NimShare instance (typically on Microsoft Azure). All data stays on your server.

FEATURES
• File browser with Personal, Public and Group scopes
• Public share links with password, expiry, download limit, recipient allow-list
• Video and audio playback inline (streamed straight from storage)
• Direct shares to individual users or groups with Read/Write/Manage roles
• File versions, trash, favorites
• Signature workflow: draw signatures, fill text/date/checkbox fields, sign PDFs with a certificate (PAdES-B, PKCS#7, SHA-256). Full audit trail (IP, timestamp, device, timezone, location) as PDF attachment and JSON export.
• Address book with personal contacts plus NimShare user directory
• Wiki pages per scope (Markdown)
• API tokens and webhooks for automation
• Two-factor authentication (TOTP)
• Push notifications for signature invitations, uploads, reminders

PRIVACY
• No tracking, no analytics, no ads
• No third-party SDKs
• PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy: NSPrivacyTracking = false
• Passwords hashed with BCrypt (salt + cost 11)
• JWT stored in iOS Keychain
• All connections HTTPS/TLS
• GDPR compliant: in-app account deletion

USER CONTROLS
• Block other users (address book → context menu)
• Report content (files, contacts, signature requests)
• View and unblock (Profile → Blocked Users)

REQUIREMENT
You need a self-hosted NimShare server. 1-click Azure deploy at github.com/mnimtz/nimshare. Without your own server the app cannot be used.

Security and stability update:
• Downloaded files are now cleaned up automatically (on launch and sign-out) and better protected while the device is locked.
